I set my i7 970 to finish crunching the F@H WU it is currently running. Tomorrow morning, I should be able to add 12 more CPU threads into the race.

My cats have each one cruncher for body warmers - especially those cruncheds which do NOT have fans top-side.

TeAm AnandTech - RAC = 116,695, Total = 4,240,230
SETI.Germany - RAC = 88,723, Total = 4,781,844

About 542k lead SG has on us. Looks like we stopped the hemorrhaging and stabilized somewhat but we need fresh blood if we want a healthy recovery.

I'm a little surprised SETI.Germany haven't dropped "Part 2" of their strategy. Given the large number of users (and some of the impressive hardware that I've seen), they should be mopping the floor with us.

At any rate, we might be able to snag first by Tuesday-Wednesday if the pace keeps going.

Just a heads up for everyone. The admins of correlizer a going to be moving 1.07 out of beta sometime in the near future. I'm unsure at this point of a 1.08 is on the way or no, but since I'm only accepting beta WU's I'm going to need to keep an eye on this so I dont run out of goods to run.

EDIT: since I have a day's worth of beta wu's stacked up, I'm going to allow regular wu's so I dont run dry.

you won't run out of work even if your preferences are set to crunch only the beta tasks, so long as you make sure the "if no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications" box is checked. that way you don't have to keep an eye on it at all...

Well, I got my electric bill today. It was $110 US, which was around 800KWh.

I guess I shouldn't be too surprised, that's about what it was during the month of Dec last year (F@H race).

Oh well, at least I heat my apt with my computers.

I've got my 2500k system crunching. I don't usually do much distributed computing but I'll leave it running for this little race. I'll see if I can add any of my other systems to the mix.

Thanks and welcome to the race. We need all the power we can get.

So my i7 970 rig for whatever reason isn't downloading enough WUs to keep it fed. I'm always having to manually update it in order to get more WUs. I tried resetting the project already and messed around with some preferences but no luck getting it working. Don't have this problem on any of my other computers running this project. If I don't get this resolved by the end of the work day, the rig is going back to F@H. Suggestions?

I thought there was a setting somewhere where you could set your queue length. It defaults to 0.25 days I think.

And for the life of me, I can't find it.

what is the proportional resource allocation for Correlizer compared to the other BOINC CPU projects on this particular host? if its relatively small in comparison to the other projects, it won't download new work as often as the other projects do. also, what is your cache set to (this is what Uppsala9496 is talking about)?

Uppsala9496: go to tools -> computing preferences -> network usage tab -> additional work buffer (set value manually)...of course this is assuming you're running BOINC v6.12.xx, but even if you're running a slightly older version, it'll be found in a similar place.

Okay, I touched nothing but BOINC self-propagated a bunch of new WUs! Weird.

how many did it DL? and how long until your CPU crunches through those? should be interesting to see if your host DL's more tasks before you finish off your existing queue...

With the update to 1.07 I noticed that two of my machines have shorter crunch times, yet one of my machines has longer crunch times.

My X4 on linux went from around 23 minutes a WU to 32 minutes.
One X4 on lunux went from 16 and change to 13 and change. My X6 on WIn7x64 is down to 20 minutes.

No idea why one of the machines took a negative hit in crunch time.

When I checked my stats earlier, their site seemed awfully slow. Maybe it wasn't on your end.

Who knows.

I counted 74 in the queue. The weird thing is all my machines are crunching Applications 1.07 but with my i7 970, I see a mix of 1.07 and Biomedical Genome Correlations.

strange...the server shouldn't be dishing out v1.00 tasks anymore. i trust you edited your Correlizer preferences on your account page by unchecking biomedical genome correlations, correlizer beta applications, & correlizer embedded applications boxes, and checked the correlizer applications box only?

Just unchecked all except Applications. Doh, I feel stupid!

Actually I've been getting 1.00 applications only a few hours ago. I've changed my prefs so I don't get them now.
