Actually I've been getting 1.00 applications only a few hours ago. I've changed my prefs so I don't get them now.
My settings as of yesterday:
BioMedical Genome Correlations: no
Correlizer Applications: yes
Correlizer Beta Applications: no
Correlizer Embedded Applications: no

And in my current queue I have a 1.01. It's about 13 tasks down. I only keep 0.25 days for my queue too. So, they are still sending some out.

I got a whole bunch of 1.07 tasks, but I have to clear out a whole bunch of the 1.00 tasks. Hopefully that'll be done within the next 10 hours

Good Sunday morning to you too, [2W]SEARCHER!
Life is good, I am not bored with the race and I don't think my TeAm-mates are either. We are still increasing production somewhat ... and are more encouraged by the ups and more stimulated by the downs.
The weather is just perfect for crunching (in northern Seden): +2-3ºC, mild winds (which just now blow exactly right for maximal cooling in the computer room). I have been able ti increase the OC for almost all computers ... ()

Comments to the stats:

1. More than 2 Million points crunched, the difference in production is only 35 552 credits, that is approx 1.7% ... really close.
2. The TeAm is not getting closer to the goal - to pass SETI.Germany - please increase production! We have approx. 5 more days to race.
3. SET.Germany successfully defends their pole-position. Well done! ;o
4. A prediction how things will turn out? Very hard to predict just now. It seems however, that TeAm AnadTech has to increase production by at least 100K to catch up within the raceing period. Is that possible? I don't really know, but I have seen minor miracles happen ...
5. I don't know about you, but at least I have a lot of fun of tweeking the most out of the crunchers and encouraging ther participants in this race.

Please remember the priorities:
1. Have fun!
2. Crunch your very best.
3. Have fun.
4. Recruit your best.
5. Have fun.

So: Asslaminate, borgh, borrow, get permissions for borghing and asslaminating, persuade your friends, make peace with your adverseries (to get access to their computers), install new software (and get paid in credits), etc, etc, But above all:

Have Fun!

It's been a good race so far. With a bit over a week to go, I'm not sure we will be able to catch up, but who knows.
My daily average keeps creeping up a bit each day. I'm curious to see what it is at on the 18th. If it ever gets a bit cooler outside I can bump up my overclocks more.

Just added a single-cored Athlon 64 to the cause because my bedroom is cold I have a Pentium 4 machine I can drag out if I get desperate.

Seriously: all WUs crunched are very important. Thanks for pitching in!

switched my laptop from PrimeGrid to Correlizer.
Still undecided on my HTPC. It gets hot, and then the fans get noisy. I'm not currently running any DC on that, even though it runs 24/7 and handles my MagicJack.

I wish that we could use GPUs.

TeAm AnandTech

RAC = 132,068

Total Credit = 4,918,786

SETI.Germany

RAC = 115,653

Total Credit = 5,482,824

----------------------------------------------

SG has a 564k lead in total credit. At one time, we were holding steady at about 535k difference. Either people on our team are stepping/slowing down or SG is adding more CPU threads because that lead SG has been growing daily since late last week.

Safe to say that unless we recruit and/or add more CPUs, we'll be sitting at a firm 2nd place.

I think it's more SG stepping it up. Our RAC is really high compared to before

You're probably right. Unfortunately.

I have another new rig to add in the near future. Just waiting on a motherboard to be shipped from Newegg. It's a Phenom II 720 BE with the potential to unlock the 4th core. Hoping to get an overclock around the 3.4 GHz range.

Is the 3.4 GHz because of the stock cooler? My x2 560 unlocked and overclocked warms up the entire second floor of my house haha

I have an aftermarket cooler ready. Got a cheap Corsair A50 for $20 last month. 3.4 GHz is the minimum I'm hoping to squeeze out that chip. Bonus if I can get more out of it!

The 720 BE is an interesting build I'm working on. The goal of this build is to build it as cheap as possible. It's taken about 4 months to collect all the parts I need but I finally got the last part (mobo) last night.

I have been tweaking all 3 of my multicore rigs to get the most out of them.
My X2 555 BE with all four cores unlocked is only at 3.4ghz. A little disappointed in the speed. Oh, and the hyper 212+ cooling it has a slight wobble/vibration. Everything is tightened correctly. No issues with the same cooler on my X6. Ordered a second fan to see if it balances out the wobble because right now I'm giving it another day before I shut it down and do a complete teardown to figure out the cause.

I added a 1035T-based box to the correlizer mix this weekend, as I picked up the cpu last week during newegg's sale. It was basically a drop-in cpu upgrade for an old X2 cpu, and in fact, it's using the X2's stock AMD cooler (my budget for a crunching is not very big I'm afraid). I'm not much of an OC-er, but I decided to give it a shot - I bumped the FSB to 240, and set the NB/HT multipliers down to 8, and ran the cpu at a modest 3.1ghz. It seemed to run stably, and I stressed it for about 1-2 hours. When everything seemed ok, I decided to stress it and do work at the same time, so I installed BOINC and let it run correlizer. It was going fine for about 3-4 hours, and coretemp and speedfan both showed the core temp to only be around low-mid 40s C. I went out to do some yard work, came back, and the box was just hung. Not sure what happened, but I restarted with the same settings and it booted into Windows fine, and temps all showed only mid 30's idle. Not wanting to take a chance, I backed the machine down to where it is now, just shy of 2.9ghz (220mhz FSB), and its been running correlizer overnight and today without issue. Without a better cooler, I don't think I can get it much past where it currently is. Anyone have any ideas? I'm guessing I would have to shell out for an aftermarket cooler to get it to reliably OC more?

I'm getting over 3.9 with an x2 560 unlocked to 4 cores. How much voltage are you pumping in? My voltage is 1.52v under load without LLC. I think the bios setting is 1.625v but I've never seen it over 1.6v even idle or in the BIOS HW monitor.

P.S. I do 48 hours Prime 95 blend as my stability check and use a Corsair H50. Temps hit 60 C at the worst of times but these days is at 56C

Considering the difference in team size, we are doing one hell of a good job giving them a run for their money. Keep the pressure up.

I've joined the SETI.USA forum to see if I can recruit someone from there ... at least for the race. The worst they can say is no.

I am on hold for some time until I can post...hopefully soon.

Edit: I sent a PM to "Cruncher Peter" over @ SETI.USA. We'll see what happens.
Edit2: My pm generated a thread in SETI.USA. (http://www.setiusa.us/showthread.php?2416-Correlizer-Challange)

I find that Phenom II CPUs don't have accurate temperature readings with CoreTemp or any temperature monitoring software. From what I've read and personal experience, I would add about 10C to what your reading in CoreTemp.

Unfortunately, the stock heatsinks for the most part are junk if you're serious about overclocking. I'm not 100% sure but I think the X6 HSF are bit beefier than the X2 or X4 HSF. If so, cooling a 6 core CPU with a HSF designed for lesser CPUs might be an issue. I would keep an eye out for a sale for a Cooler Master Hyper 212+ or Corsair A50 for $20. What kind of voltages are you applying? May need a slight increase to the CPU and chipset. As a reference, at 3.5 GHz, my X6 needs 1.425V for the Vcore and 1.25 for the chipset.
