Ok, late to the game, and just now watching this TV show.
The maim thing about the show is that it may have the most obnoxious theme song for TV ever.

no it's awesome. it's like 5 seconds long. shorter theme = moar time for story. do you have your volume turned all the way up or something?

The Shield for sure, I loved the writing, the characters, the plot, the tension/twists, everything about it.

Justified isn't at the same level but Timothy Olyphant is a certified bad ass.

He was freakin' awesome in Hitman and I Am Number Four.

i know it always gets compared to the wire, but i like it better than the wire.

I think I just realized one of the many reasons I really liked The Shield.

Yeah, The Shield was great.

It's the only show I know of that peaked after the first season.

The middle seasons with Antwon Mitchell and Captain Monica Rawling (Glen Close) were awesome.

I completely agree, great casting that season.

S01e01 of 24 is one of the best ever. TV has gotten so good these days that I am not sure if I would be so blown away by it now. However, at the time, that pilot was just light years more exciting than any pilot I had ever seen.

I couldn't agree more. Not much was off limits. I think that's a lot of what kept things captivating.

Yep both are great, although I prefer the first seasons of Blue Blood compared to the last two.
