This isnt even close. Simpsons is washed up. No longer groundbreaking and family friendly. Family guy takes the cake. Now if they had this series on HBO it would be winning an emmy every year just on the fact that vulgarity would send this show over the top.

Simpons had a good run, now they're just "jumping the shark" Family Guy had way more LPE (laughs per episode) than the simpsons. Sorry to say.

The Simpsons died about 5 seasons ago. If you were comparing the Simpsons at the culminations of its awesomeness, then it would win. But today's Simpsons Vs. todays Family Guy is no contest; Family Guy wins by far.

Simpsons has "accomplished" more overall. So I vote for them. I mean seriously, look at how many seasons they have been on for.

If i had to go watch one rihgt now it would be family guy though.

I don't care what they say Family Guy will always be funnier then The Simpson's. Even during the peak of The Simpson's. The Simpson's had one or two laughs or chuckles during a show. While Family Guy makes you laugh every other line.

I highly doubt it, by then we'd be used to the humor, and there'd be another show out there that'd take its place.

IMHO Futurama should replace the Simpsons. Similar style of humor, only the fact taht its in the future expands on the jokes they can pull off, of which after a decade and a half you tend to run out of material, talk about beating a dead horse...
