The Simpsons Movie

Saw it this after noon and it was pretty damn funny....definitely recommend it to anyone that has ever enjoyed the Simpsons and anyone who has been living in a bubble the past 20 years.

I saw it this afternoon and thought it was great. Typically older Simpsons humor with a dash of current day contextual stuff. I just loved how they made fun of themselves for making the movie, and the scroll bar advertising a Fox television show. . . man I just cracked up.

I laughed a few times, but wanted the movie to end time after time. Didn't plan on watching it again but I had to watch it because well it is the Simpsons

Just got out of the theater. In all seriousness, it was not that good. It was good, but not great.

I was pleasantly surprised by it. I hadn't watched any previews or trailers for it nor had I read any reviews. Friends wanted to go. I didn't really have any expectations going into it.

Funny more than anything, but there's good action and some other nice moments.

I enjoyed Ratatouille a bit more, but they're both worth watching without a doubt.

It's been years since I bothered to watch an episode of the Simpsons, but I loved it as a kid.

Did anyone else notice that after they jumped Springfield Gorge that the ambulance was still there from the first time Homer tried it? That episode was classic Simpsons at their best and I thought it was a nice little nod to the longtime viewer to still have it there.

Even if you've enjoyed any of seasons 9 up till now (everyone has different taste), there is no way you could argue that they've been anything like season 4-8

I didn't even say that or imply that. You said that the past 10 years have not been good. They certainly have been GOOD. As great as previous? Hardly.

The last 4 seasons or so have been unwatchable for me. Im a huge simpsons fan and it's sad to see how poor the writing has become.

It has been a gradual downhill slope though, i think the big dive was when David X. Cohen and Greoning went to do Futurama. Now theyve been gone doing the movie, and the new season of Futurama due out next year.

i didnt even care for the simpsons at all prettty much my whole life. however, i saw the movie on friday, and it really was a funny movie. i recommend it also

Saw it today. It was decent, more like an episode of the Simpsons that 3X long.

I like some of the jokes such as Itchy/Hillary 08, I shall not download this movie, ad for fake Fox show, elect to lead and not read, the border states of Springfield <Kentucky and others>,

I didn't like the moving to Alaska part, feel like a filler. Homer gets back to Springfield by himself?

Not bad at all, good but not great either.

Well...just saw it, and I have to say the suprise nudity caught me off guard

Best gag though was the church people going to the bar, and the bar people going to church.
