They're different. New York style red onion sauce is a completely unique taste that can't be duplicated by anything else.

BTW, can't have the sauce by itself, gotta add spicy brown mustard and kraut, that makes a perfect NYC dog.

I'm not much of a hot dog guy, but I do like the ones they have at Five Guys. I prefer their burgers, but once in a blue moon I'll grab a hot dog from them.

All I have ever gotten on hot dogs in my life is ketchup.

I'm a very odd duck about certain foods I won't touch, I seem to avoid any sort of white sauce or creamy shit like the plague. It unnerves me for some reason.

I won't touch:

Cheese (except on pizza)
Alfredo
Mayonnaise
Sour cream
Cream cheese
Cottage cheese
Miracle whip
Eggs
Mustard

My burgers I just get with ketchup, bacon, and mushrooms. I like grilled onions and regular onions too, but then the burger gets busier than I like. So I just keep it simple.

Pickles can be okay on their own once in a great while, but I detest what they do to the flavor of anything they're added to. It ruins a burger for me. Too strong.

Oddly enough I love milk and of course ice cream... so the thing with cheese and white shit is definitely not some lactose-pussy thing, or anything like that. I just find white sauces gross. Always have.

Brown, red, and black sauces are where it's at... BBQ, ketchup, soy, teriyaki - now we're talking.

chili, cheese and onions together beats your jar of onions every time.

If limited to just one topping, I'd probably go with relish. Wickle Relish uses red peppers and other goodness instead of just cucumber bits.

But if you're the "toppings police" then all I have to do is walk up to you with my skyhook thingie, rrrrrr - rrrrrr - rrrrr (( splatter )) +Health +Salt. And I'm back to as many toppings as I want.
