based on the number of times i've watched a show
probably "NOVA" on PBS
Agreed 100%. Documentaries>>>> Reality/TV shows.
How can anyone forget Greatest American Hero... or Perfect Strangers... or Alf.
NOVA | Ultimate Space Telescope | Season 49 | Episode 10 | PBS

My sister loved that show. Great, I'll be humming the theme all day now.

i remember seeing quite a bit of alf when i was a kid
and that greatest american hero intro song is a classic, so catchy!
M*A*S*H (movie ~ 1970)
The show was initially popular because it was based on a popular (R-rated) movie and stayed that way for a long time due to some pretty decent writing and a terrific cast.
Alan Alda killed it for the TV Series.
His slapstick comedy sucks.
The TV show started out closer to the movie then went all touchy feely as the seasons progressed until it turned into an Alan Alda psychodrama.I enjoyed the movie...

Jodie Foster makes the scene.he was great on jurassic park though
Twilight Zone was probably shot on film, which is higher resolution than Blu-Ray, and potentially higher than 4K AFAIK. When you were watching it on TV, it was coming in at a slightly blurry 480i most likely.I bought the Blu-ray of the first season. Surprisingly great video quality for such an old show, any show really. Tack sharp. It IS "B&W!" It looks incredibly better than it did on those old CR-TVs.
Full disclosure: I have never watched a single episode of MWC or MASH. I lived 20 straight years without a TV and once I got one I stayed away from most series with few exceptions... I watched The Simpsons and some Seinfeld (subsequently bought a lot of their DVD sets too, several other TV series as well that I heard great things about, but I never watched them via television).
I didn't start to enjoy it until I was in my 20s and it was one of the few things I could watch OTA after 10PM.my buddy is the same age as me (both born a few years after vietnam) and he loved MASH
but i never could get into that show at all. even when there was nothing else on.
You are correct but 6 episodes were shot on video tape. You can see it easily as they look a bit fuzzy and flat compared to the others.
