The Sopranos Season Finale!!!

Did anyone else notice the audio drop out a bit before the ending ? It was at the diner, before the kids showed up, just Tony and Carm talking.. Its like they blanked out a phrase, sorta like they did in the movie Grindhouse.

At first I thought it may have been my cable, but after seeing the ending, Im not so sure.

I think Chase doesn't want to tell us whether Tony is killed or not. Rather, he wants to encapsulate Tony's life and his conflicting families.

I don't agree although I really don't know how to interpret that ending. I think if Tony had been killed, the screen would have gone black from Tony's perspective. He would have been looking at the door or elsewhere and then the screen would have gone black. The last thing we, as viewers saw was his face.

A local radio station is saying that the series was shot with you (us the viewer) as part of the "family". We were killed and it follows that the Soprano family was killed also. Maybe just Tony, they're throwing out a bunch of theories.

I have no real opinion, I'm just throwing out what I heard.

What's with the cat looking at Christopher's picture? Some suggestion of reincarnation?

I think what DC was trying to do with the ending was perhaps the best way to end the show. However, the execution of it was horrible and it left most simply confused as to what the hell was going on. If he wanted to convey that life simply goes on and on and that there never really is any closure there were better ways of doing it.

The problem with that theory is that Christopher was a lot of things but rat wasn't one of them. One look at that old beater full of kids when he considered being a rat was enough to make him turn in his fiance for being a rat and getting her killed.

The problem with that theory is that Christopher was a lot of things but rat wasn't one of them. One look at that old beater full of kids when he considered being a rat was enough to make him turn in his fiance for being a rat and getting her killed.

I'm pretty sure it was more of a joke. That's how I took it at least. I've heard everything from Sil being a rat to Paulie and Tony himself.

I liked the ending. There really will be no ending to the crises in the family and the risk Tony is always and will always be under.

I just watched the replay and I swore when I watched in last night in HD the last shot was meadow coming in the door. Watching it tonight in SD the final view was definitely that of Tony's face.
