A couple of my favorites:

The Boxer
Cecilia

"The Boxer" is one of my favorites as well along with "America", "I Am A Rock", and "Scarborough Fair".

I remember getting my parents' Simon & Garfunkel albums and copying them to cassette so I wasn't tied down to the stereo when I wanted to listen.

*Points and laughs at the old man and his "cassettes"*

Har har har !!!

I heard that he wrote that song on the toilet.

Wouldn't surprise me. People have their best brainstorming sessions on the can.

I love "The Only Living Boy in New York"

but yeah "Sound of Silence" is a pretty freakin awesome song

My choir class in HS sang a medley of S & G songs for one of our seasonal programs, this song included. I loved it. Hearing 20+ people belt out the melodies sent chills down my spine every damn day as we practiced.

Bump for awesomeness.

Sometimes I wish some bands would get over their petty differences and arguments.
The world lost alot of good music because of over-inflated egos and petty squabbling.
S&G and Pink Floyd immediately come to mind.

So many great songs by Simon & Garfunkel.

Yeah, I started listing my favorites, then realized there wasn't much point

I dunno, Garfunkle always seemed a little weird to me. Kinda like Carrot Top on Valium. :Q

hehe, you are right. Stardom is an unnatural state unfortunately and it often causes unintended consequences.

That song always reminds me of when I was very young and my mom listened to that sort of music a lot. Good memories, those.

For those that haven't heard it:

Not only should you give it a listen, you should rent "The Graduate". Excellent music in an excellent movie.
