Coming from a caste society might explain his belief that free speech means he gets to speak while those he considers inferior are required to listen quietly.
America doesn't work that way. Free speech means we all get to speak, including to freely rebut and criticize speech we disagree with.
Same thing with these LGBT issues in the school. The US Constitution guarantees all persons equal protection of the laws and thus equal access to the public spaces. This Moms for Liberty group wants to deny LGBT parents (and their allies) from equal access to the public schools.
It's a healthy debate but I'm confident that in the end the US system of political equality and freedom for all will win out.
If that makes someone from a country that doesn't even allow religious freedom think I'm a 'leftist,' because I support these core American principles of freedom, then so be it.

Moms for Liberty apologized on Thursday for quoting the Nazi leader as social media users criticized the group.

"The organization's chapter in Hamilton County, Indiana, released a newsletter called The Parent Brigade on Wednesday, ... "

using this quote:

" ... which included a quote from Hitler on the front page that read, "He alone, who OWNS youth, GAINS the future." Hitler spoke those words in 1935 in an attempt to encourage young people to join Hitler Youth, a Nazi organization."

Then they change it to:

""If the government has control over our children today, they control our country's future. We The People must be vigilant and protect children from an overreaching government," read the update."




Aren't those essentially then same words? Or at least the same sentiment?
