Snowflakes so easily triggered. It's not enough that they just don't have to buy it, they want to control business behavior that they disagree with. I know, it's 6 years old, but they've only gotten more brazen and terroristic since then.

The only thing conservatives love to do more than boast about their love of freedom is rant hysterically that every exercise of freedom they disagree with is an infringement of their freedom that is being shoved down their throats.

In the decade or so before I’d arrived, the center’s reputation as a beacon of justice had taken some hits from reporters who’d peered behind the façade. In 1995, the Montgomery Advertiser had been a Pulitzer finalist for a series that documented, among other things, staffers’ allegations of racial discrimination within the organization. In Harper’s, Ken Silverstein had revealed that the center had accumulated an endowment topping a hundred and twenty million dollars while paying lavish salaries to its highest-ranking staffers and spending far less than most nonprofit groups on the work that it claimed to do. The great Southern journalist John Egerton, writing for The Progressive, had painted a damning portrait of Dees, the center’s longtime mastermind, as a “super-salesman and master fundraiser” who viewed civil-rights work mainly as a marketing tool for bilking gullible Northern liberals. “We just run our business like a business,” Dees told Egerton. “Whether you’re selling cakes or causes, it’s all the same.”

Not that I care about the OP or the particular group mentioned since Ive never heard of them, but I do find fault with the non profits that use certain groups to raise money to pay themselves very large salaries ....while at the same time making themselves arbiters of what is "hate".

There are similar examples, so the SPLC is not unique in doing this. Its just a shame they have to be one of them.

Then go out and fund raise and raise and raise. You now have a job for life, and good paying one too. Who is going to oppose you? Mom's for liberty is funded by a small group of ultra wealthy mega donors, not by grass roots small-time donations.

I'll rather have a technical evil than a horrendous life where the left is deeming any opposition as extremist. Very soon, they will become terrorists next. That is the next phase.

Branding used to be a critical part of emotional arguments. The problem is that it's now so overused that virtually everyone is branded as something. It still seems to be a valid mechanism for justifying hate by some, and I don't see that ever changing.
