I see one of our Congress Critters provided a moment of lulz:

You say that like you don't believe that Trump was the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency.I think it's a good bill.
Basically it says anyone running for presidency should have an official medical exam and that parts of the results should be publicly available. Currently people running just make up whatever they want in regards to their health report and then you end up with situations where Reagan has Alzheimer's dementia in office and Nixon is a raging alcoholic, with this facts coming out only when the public can't do anything about it.
How is that not fair and in the public's best interest? It's exactly in line with the already established precedent to reveal taxes for the same reason.
Gee really? Have you seen that chiseled figure of his when he is out golfing? It is the envy of all men everywhere. You say that like you don't believe that Trump was the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency.
stable genius means he is comparing himself to horses so I have to agree with Trump that he is a genius, compared to horses.

I get that this is a joke, but the attempt to try and make "medical qualifications" for a President, either as a candidate, or post-election, is absolutely terrifying. It is directly taking power away from the people and putting it into a handful of individuals to determine the fate of the person who was elected by the people. If you want to get rid of him, there are articles of impeachment, short of that, they stay.

No it's not terrifying. They should be cleared before they can register to run. Everyone runs the same gauntlet and if they prove they are fit they can then run for President. Totally fair same for everyone.

The bill doesn't disqualify the candidate but rather that it's an objective medical assessment for the people to actually trust. The person can still run; it's more that the early dementia or raging alcoholism he has will be revealed to the public.Well you aren't really taking power away from the people since a politician can simply lie about their health. I kind of like the idea, hell you can still let them run, but any serious health, mental or physical, issues that could impact their ability to fulfill their duties would be made public for them to continue to run.
