They've been renewed for a third season so there was no need to goose the ratings. It will be interesting to see if there is enough buzz to get ratings up for this week.

I think it meant that it would sweeten her blood, although he seemed fairly specific in what area of her body he was going to drain her. Still don't know what he was up to...and I had a day to think about it! hahaha

Worms are everywhere in the blood stream, not just the tentacle area. They can be extruded by the tentacle thing when it pierces a persons skin though.

LOL so they changed Quinlan and Vaun around this season from the books.

So some of the comments I made earlier don't exactly apply anymore to the TV series versus what happened in the books. It's like they are rewriting almost everything on the fly.

Basically since I read the books and only watched the first season and a bit of the second. Vaun was originally intended to be Quinlan and that was changed for no apparent reason. Which makes things even stranger as to how they are going to play out the plot now. And then need yet more back story for yet another prominent characters they have added to the TV series that isn't in the book. So two day walkers now.... sheesh.

I can understand a few added ancillary characters added to the show like Coco that aren't in the books. Mainly to play a role of a plot device used in the books with a general device that the show conveys through a character instead. I can understand that at least. I even get expanding some characters out for the TV show from the book like Eichhorst. But creating characters with major plot functionality from whole cloth? That gets a bit odd.

Speaking of which, Quinlan is originally named Quintus for being the fifth "Born" daywalker vampire of which it was written that all others previous to him were dead already in the main books. He was also described in the books as a massive muscled vampire/man who is technically bigger and stronger most of the time compared to the Master when he was in any other body but Sardu's.

Oh well, guess this is another reason I gave up on the show. The book was bad enough near the end with a crap ton of magic mumbo jumbo and religousness explanations for everything. The tv story is then going off on it's own course to who knows what end now.

From what you described earlier, I figured they would have to change the timeline at the very least. Either that or do a jump between seasons which would mean some casting changes. Although if it's only a jump of 8-10 years, maybe not.

I've watched a few things by Del Toro and I think he has the imagination to improve on whatever the original plot was.

And, you just knew that Nora was going to touch the 3rd rail, but, wouldn't the worms still be alive, and he placed his head on her cheek, so...?

I suppose see ya here next season, since there won't be anything else to watch in that time period.

Damned brat yelled at her and distracted her. She should have ignored him and finished the job. Seriously though, I hate that punk. I hope we won't seem much of him next season and when we do its another actor (and hopefully one not so damned irritating).

I thought the whole "get him to his grand parents" thing was a way to get him off the show, but instead it was a F you to all the Zack haters. lol You could actually see them planting the seeds earlier, but still. Maybe it was there way to make sure there are no Zack supporters, and he will be the host for the next Master.

The writing on this show is terrible. Don't think I can stomach it for another season. There are too many scenes and circumstances that I am forced to suspend disbelief for anything to make sense. It had the potential to be good too.

Yeah, there a lot of plot holes. Like the nazi going away peacefully. Come on. That was so out of character. They tried to paper over it by having him say that the master had a plan for Setrakian, but still . . . The nazi could have taken everyone out in a blink and have been gone with the book, no problem.

I also liked how the train plows through a mile's worth of strigoi and yet Eph walks back through a pristine tunnel.

I still like the show but mainly as a result of the book spoilers I've read. I like the way things seem likely to develop. I also like this new alliance between Setrakian, ratboy and Quinlan (Quin?). That was one of the things I was hoping to see this season.

Also, while silver may hurt, it isn't instant death.
