That's bsically what happens. Food chain with supply vs demand in the books. Eventually the vamps win out for a time in books. Most humans die out and the remainder of those living are basically cattle. Only pregnant females are given any form of preferential treatment as humans by the vamps. There are several reasons for this as explained in the book.

Farming makes sense but that abattoir looks like it was set up to just drain people and then dispose of them.

Just gone. The MASTER is called the master because he's the colony of worms that came from the head of the body of Azreal. The original body parts give life tot he worms and that is it basically. It's only when the body parts are exposed to the fury of gods vengeful wrath in the light, basically being nuked to a crisp by a nuke, then the body part is eradicated as well as any of the worms that came from it.

The Masters origin site, ie the head of Azreal, isn't in NY. It's elsewhere. In the book the origin site for all the Ancients and the Masters are well hidden even from each other. The reason the Master is acting now is because he figured out the origin sites of all the other Ancients.

The Ancients became "aware" of what they were as vampires sooner than the Master. Much sooner. So they've been around for thousands upon thousands of years. Over time they've come to like the status quo and don't really want to rock the boat when it comes to dealing with humans anymore. The Master has no such reservations. Since the Master comes from the head of Azreal, he wants to control and be in charge. Since the other Ancients won't work with him in subduing the human race permanently, he instead just destroys the Ancients before moving on to us lowly humans.

I'd appreciate it. I have no idea what you've watched or not, so I wouldn't know that all you've posted were the books.. I don't recall you saying that before. I clicked on it, as I said, so I have ownership of it. I just think it'd be easier for some, like myself if we tagged book stuff. The thread is about the show, at least the "FX" part of the title would lead me to believe that. I really don't think this show warrants the levels of insanity that GoT thread became with book spoilers, just a little courtesy to help those that don't want book spoilers to avoid them. Either way, I would appreciate it if you tagged them. At the least, thanks for considering it.

Personally I appreciate having book spoilers for tv series because it helps me understand the plot better. The books I imagine probably go into a lot more detail about explanations for why an how things happen so I love getting those insights. But I understand if some people don't want to read them.

To be clear.. I'm not saying he shouldn't post book stuff.. this isn't the GoT thread where people were just about burned at the stake for even mentioning there was a book. I'm just asking that if it's from the book to just tag the spoiler as from the book. For some people it's something they want to know, and should get it without the need of a new thread. Yah, there are a TON of things different from the show to the book. The main Lt german vamp is barely in the books but is a huge antagonist character in the show. At least most of what I've explained from the books are elaborations of the variation from the book on the same events that have happened in the show. Just more info as the books have to explain things out a bit better unlike a show which may not explain things as much due to time constraints.

I don't remember Angel getting hurt and having to go to the hospital in the books, is that different?

He died fighting the Master before the nuclear explosions IIRC.

Been a bit but I thought he died fighting the master as well. Even still he was shown to be holding his own against the master pretty well for a bit. Even still the Master kills him handily in the end of their fight. Once the shit hits the fan, which is basically the time that Angel as a character is introduced, there is no chance or time for any character to "recover" at a hospital in the books. I said earlier the books escalate fast and they do. Most of the "main~ish" characters all end up dead in the book except Vasily and Norma.

About time the police wised up and left, and left her after her speech, and if you noticed the building they were in, that one yet again had a upper level on it. You would think they would have learned and moved to a more secure location.

So it was a suitcase nuke. (no big shock there)

I wished Angel would have survived, and not that weasel that helped out the master at the very beginning of this mess.
@HumblePie, is that how it was in the book as well?

I knew Quinlan survived, so that wasn't a shocker when he came back.
I don't get the sound waves though, before, they said the speakers were too small, so, now, they are even smaller, and it worked just fine, and they were immune to the effects, but only he was the last time?

1 more episode, then we wait until the next, and final season.
