I haven't seen a Superbowl since the 70s. I don't expect to break my winning streak.

If you were watching back in the 70s, it was probably during the Cowboys dominion over the NFL. Roger Staubach & Tom Landry were in their heyday back then. ()

Some poor girl who's best friend won't be attending her bat mitzvah probably cares.

He's attending the bat mitzvah, just not the party

Also, the daughter and wife are attending. Just he and the son are not.

I wondered why my ears were burning

I love NFL football, so I always watch the Super Bowl.

Obviously, since the 49ers are in, I am even missing a Bat Mitzvah party to watch (with my son).

Except that they were second-fiddle to the Steelers.

Haters gonna hate.

Ok, I admit his histrionics can get rather absurd but if one more uninformed idiot goes on about "ZOMG Ray Lewis the murderer!"...

Regardless of him being a murderer and obstructer of justice, he is an insufferable, loudmouthed attention whore who has to make everything about him. His narcissistic display at midfield after the Ravens beat the Patriots ranks as one of the douchiest things I've ever witnessed.

I live in the Bay Area. What the F kind of poll is this?

This is fabulous time to be a Bay Area Sports Fan. The 49ers are in the Super Bowl, the Giants won the World Series, the A's made the playoffs and the Warriors have not been mathematically eliminated yet!

Dont really care about football. Probably have the game on if i am home but ill be cleaning, reloading, or doing something else. Might go to a party but more for socializing than the game. I could really careless about football in general even when its the local team playing.

Commercials? Seriously they are online pretty much right after the game now a days so why spend 4+ hours watching just for them? Plus you can filter out all the crappy ones as they are rated usually.

Im hoping it is a nice powder day in the mountains so all the silly football fans stay home and i can enjoy the snow by myself! Same if i go shooting, range shouldnt be as crowded. Plenty of other things id love to do

Nah...even if the Ravens manage to win, (and I'll probably root for them over the forty-whiners) Joe Fucko will still be shit upon...and deservedly so.

Because he's been to the playoffs and won a playoff game every year of his career?

I don't even know when it is, and I don't have TV (have better things to spend my money on), so, no, I really don't care that much. If any of the commercials are amusing at all then I can always catch those on youtube later at my leisure.

If the Cowboys arent playing Im not all that interested.

It's probably safe to say you won't be interested in the Super Bowl for a very long time... :|

I watch it for the novelty of the Super Bowl itself, plus it gives me an excuse to drink beer.
