The tattoo craze

Am I the only one that's noticed that seemingly 3/4 of girls today have tattoos of some form or another? 3 of my friends have tattoo's in the same exact place (on their back, right above their ass), and countless more have them on their ankles.

Do you like them, or wish they'd stop drawing on themselves?

Yay, only if tactfully done and relatively small. I've also noticed this trend that seems to leave few females without one. I only like certain ones but I really can do without them overall.

I love tattoos, but I hate that every single 17 year old girl has the same crappy tribal design on the small of her back or some sort of asian lettering that supposedly says 'love' but says 'i'm a dumb slut'.

I have tats, but don't care for them on girls unless they are on the ankle, or above the ass, and the later has to be a girl that has a nice ass.

Yeah, forgot to mention at work almost all of the girls have tats in the small of their back or on their ankles not to mention several I know outside of work. It's unreal.

This reminded me of that SNL commercial for "Turlington's Lower Back Tattoo Remover". They showed a lady with a tattoo that said "Pretty Lady" and as the woman "aged", the tattoo morphed into "Pretty Sad". As she realizes the tattoo looks ridiculous at her age, she uses the product to get rid of it.

Passing fad now, but it's not like a nose ring where you can just remove it when the fad has expired.

they are pretty damn dumb

they are meant for traditional use and are supposed to have deep meaning, not for looks. My gf's family has crazy rich history in Japan and although she doesn't really want to, she was slightly considering getting her family crest tatooed somewhere hidden and small.

It just depends on the tatoo, where it is, and what kind of job the tatoo artist did, I have 2, one on my left pec, and one on my right shoulder blade, I've seen people with the exact same cross that I have on my sholder blade that have looked horrible. same goes with some of those on girls backs, some are nice, some just look nasty. I voted yay, because it's thier decision not ours.....and it's not self mutilation, its art.
