It has been mentioned by bob970 and others that a "response" TeAm should be created to help out projects that need it or just to beef-up the overall standing of the TeAm in a project. TACO (Team Anandtech Covert Ops) was created for these exact reasons. TACO has degraded from it's once mighty force due to Real-life, people sticking with the projects TACO has introduced them to(this is a good thing ) and a general fade in interest BUT.....
TACO should be resurrected! It may not be resurrected as "TACO" but the name isn't that important to me -the results are!
To all of you who were involved in the original TACO - THANK YOU!
To all of you who want to become involved in "TACO" - shoot me a PM and we'll see if we can't get "TACO II" off the ground! Please be aware of a few things before committing to this though.
*This is entirely "anonymous" - no individual glory will come of this - it is for the betterment of the ENTIRE TeAm!
*There may be frequent changes in the projects "TACO" runs - shouldn't be too frequent but if a situation arises we need to be able to react quickly so that means having frequent access to each cruncher is preferred.
*There is no requirement as to how little or how big your contribution is - just as long as you are committed. but...there may come a time where certain projects just don't agree with your setup(ie dial-up, or slower computer)- and these situations will be dealt with as they arise(probably just have you run a different DC prog until we switch again)
*CADkindaGUY is NOT the "boss" - he is only taking the bull by the horns and trying to get a good thing on it's feet! Everyone will have an equal voice in how things are run.
*The above list is not a "Rules List" but rather a few minor guidelines to help you judge whether you want to become involved in a project such as this.
Please PM me with any questions or with your interest. Once I get a few interested parties, I'll arrange an initial meeting place so we can all discuss the details of "TACO II" (or whatever it will be called )
