You all have a very distorted view of what the top 1% earners look like. There are alot of good honest hard working people in there.

Finally, why is it those engineers fault that the insurrance industry and others are corrupt, since you want those engineers to pay higher taxes? What is "fair" about that?

You're using old figures and referencing it to across the entire US, in Silicon Valley $300K does not make you 1%.
