I love when people assume that a price drop indicates "giving up" on a product. It means that HP is trying to push as many out as they can to build market share and word of mouth on the product.
All of the early reviews said there were some speed issues that needed to be fixed (which were in the recent update) and the price was too high (hence the "instant rebate" sales and other offers)..
It's actually a GREAT tablet. Much friendlier to use than Android tablets in my opinion.

I have said it a million times before...WebOS is dead. it's a shame because WebOS is really nice, but it's dead
Bah this sucks. It's sad to see a great OS destroyed by poor hardware and bad timing.
Also, did anybody expect HP to take WebOS and turn it from a loser into something that can compete against Apple, Google, RIM, and MS?
is there really a market for anything other than ipad? if you have a desktop and a cellphone and maybe a laptop do you really need a tablet?
