I have to admit that I find a certain satisfaction that Trump’s war on drugs from Canada will result in pain for American drug dealers selling to Canada.I know the first tranche of tariffs on $30B worth of imports to Canada are specifically targeted at Trump voting America. For example distillers in KY and IN probably contemplating eating a gun, especially with EU tariffs probably coming 4/2.

I "think" that he's trying to say that there’ll be tariffs on agricultural imports, which will, in his mind - increase farmers competitiveness in the domestic market.
Of course, there’s going to be countervailing duties imposed by other countries that are going to hurt their competitiveness in export markets, and on the whole it’ll be a net harm to agriculture. Have "fun" guys! lol!

Yep. USAID was buying surplus agricultural products that became food aid around the world. It was a subsidy for US agriculture to help keep a stable food supply (which is a good thing!), aid for other people in the world so that they didn't starve to death, and a way to project American soft power to provide both stability for various markets and push our ideas.
