I'm still not seeing the logic in taxing US consumers to stop Chinese and Mexican drug smugglers.
This just seems like a convoluted way to do a national sales tax without calling it a nation sales tax.
Lol, as if logic has anything to do with it. We're talking about a guy who thought turning the water on in California for the fires was literally draining part of a dam in a separate area for agriculture. The guy has absolute mush for brains, and he's just surrounded by groyper yesmen.

It's just weird because I'm used to people like that being evil but also greedy. This just seems bad for everyone!
They're evil, stupid, and greedy. It's just a terrible combination. It's really the New Yorker comic of the guy saying he's sick of the elitist pilots and that he should be out in charge, except in real life the plane was like "yeah, sounds like a good idea, what could go wrong?"

Trump loves to sign agreements then renege. What do you expect from a thief who refuses to pay his contracted laborers?

This is the second time the US has ripped up a written trade agreement with Canada (both times it was Trump) out of whim and fancy. Canada needs a partner, but the US is not politically stable enough to keep to its word. We are in a new world where agreements with the US mean nothing. Nothing matters to Americans nor to the American government. Canada is not Mexico or China, and is not the source of the US’s fentanyl problem. As if facts matter

Trump is upset by the fact that so much of the US/Canadian border is unfenced and open. He doesn’t see that sort of peaceful border as a positive, he sees it as a threat. Trump is about control. Everyone knows America has the most powerful economy in the world. Donald just can’t understand why you’re not using it to rule the world! He’s working on fixing that! What’ does he want? Chaos to exploit, conflict to exploit. He’s told so many lies, a big chunk of US is lapping it up. He discredits the press, very soon no one will trust anything.

Trump, with his bullshit fentanyl excuse is going to punish these countries by making Americans pay for it.. This is what the people wanted. Congressional power now in the hands of a madman and a drug addict.

Now we just sit back and wait for all those checks from Canada and Mexico and China, right?

The dumbest POTUS in history: - “A tariff is a tax on a foreign country. A lot of people like to say it’s a tax on us. No, it’s a tax that doesn’t affect our country.”

You cannot "tax" a foreign country. WE pay for it!

Don't forget the other tariffs Trump wants to apply to example Taiwan or Europe. This is gonna end on a wild ride.

Let's see if the UAW and teachers unions and some others can get together a General Strike. This is the answer and while social media has melted humanity's minds, it's one way to organize a strike of that magnitude.

The logic is it has nothing to do with that.. If you recall, he first claimed the tarrifs where because of illegal immigrants.. now it's about fentanyl, which comes mostly from china and Mexico. .If it was about fentanyl, china would have more than a 10% tarrif. All of it is an excuse to put the burden of taxes on the working class so he can give billionairs huge tax breaks... More to point, it's part of his plan to destroy this country from the inside. Specially if you take note with what Musk rate is doing, trying to take over the federal goverment's payment system.
