Trump has shown repeatedly he is one of the most evil people on earth so I'll default to evil over stupidity to explain his actions.

I think he's a combination of evil and stupidity. He has both in spades. The word "evil" is for me difficult because of my love for William Blake's The Marriage of Heaven and Hell. Read it and you'll know why.

So, for "evil" I'll substitute some other words that come to mind that convey my feelings about DJT:

He's vindictive, malicious, heartless, cruel, sadistic, psychopathic, ruthless, selfish, uncaring, undependable, malevolent, bad-intentioned, self-centered, heinous, traitorous, loathsome, greedy, insensitive, spoiled, infantile, unfeeling, unaware, copy-cat, phony, faithless, mendacious, hypocritical, thoughtless, oppressive, hateful, vile, intransigent, soulless, degenerate, disgusting, ugly, pathological, fascistic, and petty.

"Evil" barely gets the point across for me.

I don't think I've seen that Canada is returning the new Trump move and pausing their tariffs on us. In fact all I've seen is Trudeau saying this is going to be a long -term trade war.

I'm hoping he doesn't do shit and just keeps it up. Trump is backing down because his negotiating position sucks that's when you keep the pressure on

They delayed the second larger tranche of retaliation. First one on $30B of US imports still goes ahead. When Trump goes whole hog on the planet in April they'll be put into effect.

He's basically doing the American version of BREXIT. Because if you want to put tariffs on your only trading partners.. guess what happens.

Until we're willing to deport each and every MAGA voter.. no point fixing the country because we'll be back here again.

But he's also acutely aware of U.S. stock markets, and is lying about not paying any attention to them.
