So, Trump's end game is to destroy the US's economy as well as Mexico's and Canada's?
I am going right now to revive the “Trump bat-shit crazy” thread.1. Angry mentally retarded psychopath does some stupid shit and doesn’t get the results he wants.
2. Angrier mentally retarded psychopath does stupider shit and gets even worse results.
3. Enraged mentally retarded psychopath does even stupider shit…
There is no master plan here. This is kindergarten level evil.
Pissing off the entire oligarchy simultaneously.

Doug Ford: "It's not even the Republicans I speak to. Behind closed doors, all of them are saying, 'This is crazy, what's he doing.' CEOs of the largest Fortune 500 companies are telling him, 'This does not work. Protectionism doesn't work.'"bsky.app
Great that they say that behind closed doors... Maybe they should call their pet Republican congresspeople to do their fucking jobs.Pissing off the entire oligarchy simultaneously.

The 25th Amendment would still not stop the disaster (it should still be explored or done though). Vance is still in the "let's let the the president be a king" camp when it comes to impoundment, neo-segregation, and tons of other illegal and anti-constituonal actions.I wonder how long this can go on before even the GQP corporate and oligarch class starts thinking of the 25th amendment.
Vance is a muppet and puppet - he would be more likely to calm down with the economic suicide enough to at least stabilize things., mainly probably the trade wars. He would definitely continue on with the destruction of America in every other way.The 25th Amendment would still not stop the disaster (it should still be explored or done though). I don't think Republicans have the ethical fortitude to do anything that might be considered right.
The economic calamity Trump is causing is possible, but help completely sour people on Trump, Musk, and Republicans. If they kicked him out early and tamped down the trade war stuff, I fear it would be harder to get people to care about other actions, since some only see with their pocketbook.Vance is a muppet and puppet - he would be more likely to calm down with the economic suicide enough to at least stabilize things., mainly probably the trade wars. If Republicans had played their cards right, they could have continued to ride the soft landing and do Project 2025 more slowly in the background.
Yep. But as much as the latter stuff sucks, it at least makes the public sour on all of it. Vought's agenda is going to be a lot harder to push through as approval ratings keep tanking for Republicans. This was Vought's original plan but he's got Musk hacking away at stuff publicly and Tariff Man tanking the economy.
