I figure that local sales tax can be gotten other ways, i.e. income tax, e.g. state. The whole tax system needs an overhaul with a strong sense of fairness being paramount. That 10.25% surely includes local sales tax of 4% to 5% or so, at least thats how most states do it.
Link? What channel?Dunno how it ended up on my recommended list a few years ago, but I watch it sometimes.
The narrator left/ lost his job a few years ago and was so depressed.. he sold everything and just wanted to drive across America as a getaway. Started recording his travels.. and eventually 1 of his vids went viral.
So now he can sustain it. Sometimes they visit towns and eat there and give reviews on them.
There was one near Albany, NY a few months ago.. I would have never found that restaurant otherwise but it was good.
He'd just deflect. He is incapable of acknowledging fault. It's a major reason Trump chose him. Birds of a feather flock together. Trump doesn't want anyone around him that has a lens on themselves. It would be gold to see Vance having to apologize profusely. Then after he's done it, ask him why he's not said sorry lately.
*TRUMP: WE ARE WAITING FOR CHINA'S CALL
*TRUMP: CHINA DOESN’T 'KNOW HOW TO GET IT STARTED'
*TRUMP: 'CHINA ALSO WANTS TO MAKE DEAL, BADLY'
Behold! The "art of the deal".
Is a good thing, isn't it? Means the rest of the world will be able to buy a lot of things cheaper with the increased demand left over from murrica.
I personally (don't know what others think) figure the Chinese can tolerate this better than America and maybe most any other economy. If it's a standoff between the USA and China, I'm not betting on the USA winning. No, I am not expert on China and I hear they have major problems in particular an aging population and low birthrate syndrome that's beyond troublesome. Seems to me they have a manufacturing base that's huge. They make a lot of the stuff that the USA uses. Doesn't that give them leverage?

It also depends on how your legislation works. For some reason Trump has said positive things about the Nordic school models, even though I doubt he knows anything about them, because they are very different from your system and the curriculum is very far away from anything involving creationism. Besides the regular curriculum, the Nordic school model believes it must create democratic citizens who are free thinkers and ready to question authority. It believes it must create citizens.I wanted to reply to you but it required much more thought than a my normal cynical/ sarcastic post.
Bottom line education is only possible if people are willing to be educated, in my experience, people with strong prejudices rarely fall into that camp. I include myself in that number, there's no way I will ever be re-educated about History, Science, Human Sexuality and Tech.
And overly religious people prefer religious education over standardized stuff.. infact it's not uncommon for parents to totally brainwash their kids once home and say their teacher is a liar.. teaching them unholy and ungodly stuff.. and then reprogram them.
So as much as you and @DAPUNISHER and the optimists here are hoping that's the solution.. it's very naive to think its success is very limited in a polarized world.
That said even 1-3% who are educated are responsible for every technological innovation in human history. The rest just enjoy it or whine about how they're left behind and would rather burn it all down and go back to the way things were.
Tariffs on China would have been great in the 90s to kill their manufacturing sector before it really got off the ground and save ours. Now they're stupid when there is little to save and China is a dominant manufacturer. In the current political climate, it’s easy to forget just how far some career politicians have drifted from the positions they once held. No betterwww.lifezette.com
Would need an FDR quality of leader of the Democratic party to accomplish that and the only candidate of that quality we have was born before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. The only good thing I can see happening if this is true is the possible DESTRUCTION of the Republican Party. Ah, but I will not hold my breath.
Yeah let's make it even more profitable for the rich to just hoard wealth. And that'll spur the economy to punish consumption so harshly.idk... I haven't given alot of thought into this, but I feel sales taxes are more reasonably than income taxes. As long as the minimum wage was boosted, imagine if the income tax was zero, but the sales tax was say 30%. Or even higher. There are so many dodgy schemes for rich folk to avoid paying income tax. Ok noone pays income tax. The rich folk still likes their nice things, and their nice houses needs a craptonne of heating etc etc. All of this nice stuff has hefty sales tax on it.

Not really sure what you're trying to prove. As it were, the day is already red, but even if it weren't (and who knows, it can still end up green) - every crash usually has a few green days. Here's 1929:
