Investment in the USA is mortally wounded. Trump cannot unring that bell.
I mean, I suppose he could undo everything entirely and beg for mercy. That might invoke a small thaw in confidence.
But that's just a fantasy as they vow to expand on BS. Even announcing their "fix" as 90 day pause is horrible for investment.

Goal is to shift population away from traditional population centers to red states.

Reintroduction of factory towns in abandoned flyover states is the sales pitch and is more about a very specific goal of setting up "economic zones" run by private entities instead of public where laws and government are run by a very specific class of citizen.

State level laws crafted around far right circle perks working together with corporate towns to create low level jobs where wages are just enough to promote starting families.
Create education institutions specializing skills required to fill out the workforce and align with religious dogma of the red state government.

They want to recreate the 1970s so that they can enjoy old school country music while ruling over a poorly educated, yet highly skilled work force who are easily manipulated.

It is completely unilateral bullying and coercion," the statement said.


"Even if the US continues to impose higher tariffs, it will no longer make economic sense and will become a joke in the history of the world economy," it added.

I think China is going to make Trump put his money where is mouth is. MAGATs will no longer be able to ignore the price of Chinese imports, or the fact that they are not available at all.

I think Trump will end up dropping tariffs on things like iphones and PCs and other ubiquitous things we get from China, leaving these tariffs only on the most arcane things we get from them, making them effectively null and void, but still trying to claim some sort of hollow victory that he didnt back down.
