Lol Nintendo delayed the Switch 2 preorder in the US due to tariffs. Let loose the treatler legions against the WH.
LOOOL! Imagine that after the US impact the Switch jumps the prices from USD 469 to USD 499
And then the games from USD 80 to USD 99
And yeah, Mario Kart 9 going to USD 124.

Going more expensive before launch is a bad moment for Nintendo.

Yep, I keep thinking that. It would be nice if we had a vote-of-confidence system in the USA wherein congress could call a special election to choose a new president/administration. Intelligently designed democracies have been known to do this.

Edit: Actually I believe it's 3.8 years left. We're 74 days in. 74/365 = 0.20. HANK IN THERE.
You mean the same congress that ceded its power?

I didn’t realize I had a trade deficit with my supermarket. Time to impose some tariffs on them!

Seeing the math in how they came up with all those numbers makes me confirm that Republicans idiots. Why continue this charade? Mad King indeed. When Rand Paul is the only level headed one left in your party you know things are bad

The tariffs are a shakedown. For example, the Trump administration has told the UK that if it wants to reduce tariffs it will have to lower its food standards and accept chlorinated chicken and beef imports. Can’t see that happening, from what I read it’s a very unpopular idea in the UK.

These are more like sanctions than tariffs.

Poultry farmers are about to have a REALLY bad fucking time.

China just hammered them. 34% tariff AND banning some imports.

It really is like these idiots thought other countries would just lie down and take it instead of realizing it's not in their interest to capitulate.

Trump: - IT"S ALREADY WORKING!

Says Trump as he credits Two-Day-Old Tariff Policy for last months jobs report. As his followers nod in agreement

Does Trump think he's still campaigning?

As billions are being sucked out of people's retirement accounts.

Trump is crashing the economy to prove to everyone that he doesn't understand economics.

"I meant to do that"

8D chess. Remarkable.

A few MAGA's I know just dismiss it as Trump having fun or trolling, as if being an asshole doesn't have tangible costs. When I try to explain that Canadians hate America now and it's going to cost us money they simply don't believe it.
You mean like this?

He should get together with Ford and unify the Canadian message. Good on him for acting tough in an election but Canada can't win this fight. 15% of our economy is imports, about the same as the entire Canadian economy

In spite of Trump's unwarranted idiocy, I and the vast majority of Canadians have no issue with the average US citizen.

Please feel free to come and visit Canada and enjoy some of the best tourism in the world. Your dollar goes farther here and were appreciate your patronage. Tourism is one part of our economy that needs a major expansion.

No matter what season you prefer, we have a lot to offer you.
Your fckn border policies prevent me from visiting…(50+ year old felony convictions)

Isn't this particular one good? Why should we raise chickens, kill them and ship them across the ocean? Isn't that bad for our environment and the environment in general?

$9.6trillion in market value lost since Chump was sworn in…
& remember to say thank you. It's a bit funny since the last time the stock market was down it wasn't only the result of government policy but macro-economic conditions resulting from a pandemic. Now it's entirely on the executive. It's all their doing and was entirely avoidable.

At least as of right now I'm pretty sure this is the single most destructive economic policy choice in world history.

Yeah ordinarily the President doesn’t have much control over inflation or stock market unless they do stupid shit that’s contrary to centuries of economic thought. Trump again proves he’s the world’s biggest idiot.
