And past a certain point (probably like 50%) a tariff functions basically like an embargo. As a large percentage of the country is about to discover.

Thing is memory retention isn't a strong suit for us.

It's the next thing on Netflix or TikTok that takes priority over our minds rather than stuff that should be important.

China's gonna eat the global auto market any which way you look at it, we cannot compete unless we have a major change

It's bad for Canada, and the instability of the auto market. Also the businesses that count on the workers from the plant. But they FOA'd and are going to FO.
Pretty much avg 1k vehicle per day depending on a particular plant, avg 1k-1.5k VPD.

It's kinda like your post of the ranchers whose workers stopped showing up to work. (apologies if it was not you who posted that video)

The comment was based on the CX 70/90 being made in Japan, which I don't see as bad for Canada.

CX-50 is different topic, and might be bad if you are married to getting CX-50 in Canada.

But even being a Mazda fan, I'd just get a Made in Canada Rav4 instead.

For Chinese goods that point was quickly reached with a lot of importers just stop importing until Trump's insanity levels off.

Spoiler: he won't, he don't know the life of the citizen. He will continue even if his own things starts to skyrocket the prices, he will pay.

Ford is the only US brand until Tesla, that had been really successful in Europe.
Cause Ford did the unthinkable and *gasp* released cars taylored for European tastes. I should know, I own a Focus mk4 and it's a great looking car, priced correctly.

Tesla because green stuff, electrical cars, novelty and stupidity of European car makers. But Nazi Musk changed that abruptly. Ok, there are still a lot of tesla on the road, because regular people cannot sell at a whim, but newer ones will be harder and harder to sell. And that taxi car stupidity... Well... It's just that.

Remember that those stores has enough items for some weeks. So expect by june starting the crisis. If they are smart enough, will ask Trump to get the food and groceries.... where to find? yeah, Russia

Depends how much inventory each retailer carries, and that also varies by product type, seasonality, etc....

You should start to see effects in a few weeks, and if this continues for another few weeks, it will start to get pretty bad in June all around and basically into summer.

Trump is obsessed with coal and is determined to kill all competitors. It makes no economic sense and is going to hurt his base . There a lot more rednecks installing solar panels than there are coal miners.

But they like the pain..

That's why they keep voting for him!
