Not bad if you're into the whole drama kind of thing. The wife really likes it.

I really enjoy it. Some of it probably has to do with how interesting you find history. That period has always held a special fascination for me. The production quality is very good, the acting is very good, the writing is good. And it's surprisingly not anti-Catholic, coming from Sho.

I liked it quite a bit. It really made me want to be the King of England though, just for the women.

I thought it was awful. My GF seems to enjoy it. John Rhys Davies is just horrible in my opinion. (even ignoring that he looks absolutely nothing like Henry VIII)

I've watched a few on Netflix. It's a solid period drama, although not up to the level of Deadwood and Rome, but worth watching.

Most of the reviews are positive and the negative ones hit on historical inaccuracies as the basis for why it's a bad show. However, if you're watching an admittedly fictionalized, cable network drama for historical accuracy your review probably isn't worth much anyway.

It bugged me too. We all know what Henry VIII looks like and it's nothing like that actor. That being said I'm sure John Goodman Fucking His Way Through The Reformation probably wouldn't have survived one season.
