Another good thing about this card is how well they back you up in disputes. I've disputed payments which involved rebates where the rebate never came. Amex has clout and really puts the shytts up the vendor. Perhaps this will force many a vendor to properly honor their rebates and stop jacking us around?

1. AMEX IS NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO OFFERS PRICEMATCHING! CITIBANK DOES TOO, with their CLICK CITI card!

2. AMEX WILL STOP OFFERING PRICEMATCHING ON ELECTRONICS SOON due to the disproportionate percentage of claims for these items and the fact these type of items get reduced most frequently

3. THERE ARE SOME ITEMS NOT PART OF THE PROGRAM
Examples: airline tickets or any kind of tickets,

FYI -
MBNA has feature called "ShopSafe" that allows you to specify a $$ amount as well as an expiration date on a one-time CC #.
Handy in certain cases.

They do seem to have a lot of connection problems at their site.

Got my Price Match from AMEX in the mail today!

Here is what I did...

I bought a Casio EM-500 PDA at Outpost.com for $474 w/ free overnight Delivery.

Used e-bates to get 3% back plus a $5 bonus during the time I ordered

Got the $100 rebate from Casio

Noticed someone posted a link for TARGET where they had the EM-500 on
Clearance for $374 plus the $100 rebate. But they were long gone. The webpage was still up, so I printed it out and saved the link. Got my Outpost receipt and called AMEX. They gave me a claim # and told me to fax the info to them. Today (About 8 days later) I get a CHECK from AMEX in the mail for $100.95!!! My claim was accepted and I ended up paying about $254 for the Casio EM-500!! Coolness...
