Since when is Ohio known for being nerdy? Or Nevada for having the highest crime? And I think they have Washington and Oregon backwards.

EDIT: And I knew that tornado claim was bullshit. The map is full of slanderous lies.

You people from Minnesota should hang your heads in shame for having the most tornadoes of any state. How do you live with yourselves?

LOL, the dumbest thing about that is they took the data from ONE year (2010). The total number is wrong too, because they took that number from a report in August. The actual number was 145 (and MN led the nation in 2010 - http://www.spc.noaa.gov/climo/online/monthly/states.php?month=00&year=2010&state=MN)

In 2009 - 31 http://www.spc.noaa.gov/climo/online/monthly/states.php?month=00&year=2009&state=MN

In 2011 - 40. http://www.spc.noaa.gov/climo/online/monthly/states.php?month=00&year=2011&state=MN

In 2012 - 39 http://www.spc.noaa.gov/climo/online/monthly/states.php?month=00&year=2012&state=MN

Weakest government influence? A weaker government sounds good to me. All they friggin do is trample our rights, put us deeper in debt and generally shaft us hard. I think Idaho may be the state for me.

Exactly what I was going to say. Idaho should be proud.

edit: Per the article: 12. Idaho – lowest level of Congressional clout

Okay, that's not necessarily good.

Except for the fact that the stronger the government influence the higher the standard of living and the healthier and more educated people are.
Weird, huh?

Yeah, Chicago has such a wonderful standard of living with double digit numbers of shootings on any given weekend.

maybe it means it has the least influence on the federal politics?
I haven't read the article so this is just a guess.

It makes sense that North Dakota has the ugliest people so they go rape South Dakota.

Self examination is good ... yes, this country has problems but in the greater context of the world it is a good place to live. Being a free country those that disagree can always find a better place to live.

I find it funny that the people in Kansas are the most unhealthy right next to the people in Colorado who are the most healthy. So close and so far apart at the same time.

yeah, what the hell is meant by "weakest government"?

we ain't got no public education, environmental controls or traffic lights! FUCK YEAH!

p.s.
that whole MA drivers are the worst thing is ancient history, and likely bullcrap anyway. yes, mr. bmw and mrs. canyonero are terrible, but you know who is the very worst driver i see on mass. roads? julio from rhode island in his rusted-out, fartcan-dragging early 90's econobox.
You're called Massholes for a reason. If I had a nickel for every Masshole driving slower than surrounding traffic in the passing lane I could buy and sell you 300,000 times over.

Ohio is "Nerdiest"? Is that a bad thing? Living here, I'm not sure what that means. I see a lot more nerdy people in New York than here.
