Not sure if anyone here is still running this board or not, but i'm having some issues running 4 memory sticks. So far, I can only get the board to post at 2.2v+, but it locked up in Windows shortly after booting @ 2.2v. At 2.3v it seems to be running fine, though I haven't thoroughly stress tested it yet. 2.3v seems pretty high though....I still need to try upping the NB though....maybe that will allow me to drop the mem voltage down to a more reasonable level?

I'm running 1GBx4 @ 5-5-5-18. Playing with the timings didn't really seem to do much of anything.

If I take 1 stick out (from any slot), I can run with all settings on Auto with zero issues.

I still have it. Yeah, I had 4 sticks running for a couple months but had to run them at 667Mhz instead of 800. I also increased the voltages on the sticks and the NB. Unfortunately, I'd have lock-ups and finally gave up on that.

I grabbed a 4GB set, 2 x 2Gb, and that works well. I can put in another 1GB and run that too, but the 4th stick doesn't allow the system to post. I've been thinking of building another system here soon anyway, so I've given up on trying to get this thing to work with all the RAM I have sitting around.

Hi there. Having some issues of my own. Just upgraded from 2 x 1GB Crucial Ballistix 800 to 4 x 2GB and filled all slots. Running 1406 firmware. Been having random restarts with spurious errors in event log and BSOD's under Win7 64.

Running memtest reports no errors. Changed a few timings. Now at 1.4v Vcore for E6600 at 3.2Ghz using 9x 1424, nb at 1.56v, memory at 2.178v

Memory timings at 4,4,4,12,2T and 24 tRC.

What's odd is that I was running 6GB in all slots with 1403 beta BIOS for a few weeks no problemo and the only thing set to manual was the vdimm at 2.178

But after upgrading to 8GB things got flakey. It was not like it would do it whilst stress testing either it would reboot whilst idle. Hard disk fully surface scanned. No errors. Reinstalled Win7 same probs. I have set stuff manually as above now and disconnected some hardware I do not use much to see if it's the PSU not supplying enough power (Enermax 525w MODU82+).

I could do with some pointers if I continue to get BSOD's.

Hi all,

I'm having a problem with my P5N-E SLI. Every time I boot, the fans go to full spin and nothing happens for a long time. However, if I press the reset button immediately after the power button, it will start normally.

I've recently changed graphics card from 8800 GTS to 5850, but it made no difference. Also, I just updated to the latest BIOS, 1406, and this made no difference either.

Also, is a max CPU temperature (during maximum usage) of 66 degrees Celcius too high? I've overclocked (but this has nothing to do with the boot problems, it was like that before).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
