Yeah I got mine stable at 3.2 but I wanted to get a different heatsink for the NB and one for the SB before pushing. I think another fan in the front would help with airflow too. Currently my room is like in the 80s so that doesn't help... I think I will wait a bit to see this thing really move once the arctic winter has passed and we have our heat turned down. I do like to stay toasty when everything else is frozen
I mounted this in the front of my case, my case got 5 5.25" covers & the top 2 I positioned two DVD burners & the rest 3 I mount this on. so this fan @ 800rpm (extremely quiet) created a perfect wind tunnel effect which suck air right into the case & air flow go straight to the heat sink fans then chasis fan at the back in a straight line. So from beginning it already start cooling the ram slots then CPU & bring hot air out of the case. Instead of the front case fan which always located at the bottom of the case, that fan at most can give a little bit air flow to the HDD, & the HDD will block all the cool air from outside completely (I believe all people at least got 2 HDD installed, so you can imagine all the HDD block the air from outside. So I recommented this fan to all people here & besides the original fan, you can replace any other 120mm fan in there so you want quiet or power fan is all up to you.
