I have not changed anyhting on the voltage control.
I have managed to install xp ok, then service pack 2 and a few other things.
I am going to pop in my other ram module and see how that goes. Then I'll read through this lot again and try and fine tune my bios properly to get a hopefully quick, but stable system.
I am not after anything major in terms of performance, simply the best i can get using my stock equipment without causing problems. Any advice would be more than welcome.

What Micron ram modules do you have? ( Crucial Ballistix ) I would say your not getting the right voltage for your ram. Set the ram voltage and timings to spec manually.
