I don't think it's the board that's the problem. Your Vcore is only at 1.325v! Many people here are running at 1.4v or more to achieve higher speeds.

I have tryed all the way up to 1.5v.. truest me.. i have tryed everything

Have tryed every volt there is both on cpu/memory/NB.. no change at all..

Hey, acivick
Long time no see. How's everything going? Make any progress? Seems like all the original members have moved on or there tired of listening to me.

Haven't really been messing with things recently. I basically just went back down to stock for the time being. Just ordered a Rev 3.3 DS3 from ClubIT a few days ago to see if a different MB changes things as I really don't think this board likes my memory much.

Nice! Let me know how you like it. You couldn't get a friend to let you try some different memory? Do you think thats whats holding you back? I would think if you set your ram to 800MHz and don't have any memtest errors that increasing the FSB should not cause issues with the memory. I could be wrong. Well good luck and keep me posted on that board. I didn't' even know they were released. I'll have to check it out.

Edit: With support for 1333FSB that E6600 should run smooth with that board. Any review boards up yet?

Just a quick THANK-YOU to Core2, Adder1971, and everyone else I have missed...

This board is a GEM.

I'm running->
Asus P5n-E SLI (Bios 0202)
Xeon 3060 (L631B115)@3401 379*9 Tuniq 120/Microcool North Pole XE NB cooler/Evercool VC-RE mounted on the SB
2GB G.Skill (F2-6400CL4D-2GBPK) PC2 6400C4 4-4-4-12 2T AUTO
1*74GB Raptor
2*200GB 7200.9 Seagate Sata ll
Pioneer 111D writer
Lite-On 20a1p-186 writer
EVGA 7800GS/22" Mitsubishi CRT
Hercules Game Theater XP sound card/Klipsch 4.1 speakers
Sunbeam NUUO 550ps
Cooler Master Centurion 534 RC-534-KKN2-GP ATX Case
Vcore - 1.36875
Vdimm - 1.92
NB - 1.563

I decided to retire my trusted, but old DFI NF3 Ultra 250GB/A64 3000+ when I could not play a dvd, work in Excel and print at the same time. My Abit AT8-32X/Opty170 has no problems with these tasks...
I started reading up on the new Intel chips. And boards. Till my head hurt.
A major factor in my choice of the 650i chipset was finding 2 PATA and an LPT! I wanted my writers on separate IDE, and my printer is only LPT.

A few posts at , xtremesystems, and AnandTech's review sealed the deal for me. I treated this thread as my roadmap, and ALL the people who posted were my guides.

I am very pleased with my system.

Superpi 1.5xs(1M)
Xeon3060@ 3400 - 15.406
Opteron170@ 2650 - 32.344

Again EVERYONE, thank-you!

hey, nitrotg try 1800fsb with vcore auto and nb auto just set your ram and maybe even try looser timings? i've got C4 rated ram but i can't get stable at C4 so i have it at 5-5-5-15@1000 instead of 800 and that did the trick for me, before i was unable to get past 1400 FSB i couldn't even get 1700FSB stable but 1800 works..

wouldn't boot!!! so i just said f@#$ it and am going to run it at 5-5-5-15@1000 for the time being, it's only 800MHz ram so i figure that normally its 4-4-4-12@800 so 5-5-5-15@1000 can't be much slower?? 3dmard scored it slightly lower... not much maybe 5-10 points

MSI has a couple out now, and more are coming. But whether they are better or not remains to be seen. Inital reviews of those MSI boards stated that they lacked some overclocking tools in the bios.

Why? Are you having problems? I'm sure someone has them and can comment.

some updates on my system. while system was overall stable and would boot at 4-4-4-12-1T with trc at 11, i would occasionally get memory address errors playing WoW. i relaxed timings to 5-5-5-15 and havent had any issues since.
