Argh missed spectating on the finals for GEST; I had the auto spectate command issued, but when I got home the game client itself had crashed. I wish there was a way to auto-restart DOTA2 when it crashes and auto-enable spectate mode.

International championships coming up! I'm hoping DOTA2 stays stable during the matches while I spectate, since I am typically working when these big matches kick off.

I had purchased the GEST June / July and every time I leave my PC running with DOTA2, with the auto spectate commands issued through the console, it seems to just close DOTA2 at some point. It's getting really annoying. There has to be some kind of script or automated tool to kick off DOTA2 with the spectate command if it crashes.

I find it funny that the unopened reliquary is going for more on the marketplace than the single items found within. The VS, Kunkka, and Pudge weapons are all great. The Lone Druid one is lacking as is the Abaddon weapon.

Uh, you sure? Because afaik, Legion Commander is closer to release.

m not sure but usually they don't release any new heroes 1 month b4 TI, and after TI (after value have taken break)we usually see 2 new heroes. they maybe released on same week or after 1 week gap of each other. this happened last year also and i think after TI1 also. heroes under development are techies, pit-lord and legion??? anything else???

Sunsfans of Dota Cinema has said that Legion Commander would be the next release and Dota Cinema usually always has the new hero video a day or two before it is released. However this is most likely after TI3.
I also remember seeing developers saying techies would not be ported over a while back.

To auto-spectate during a tournament, you first have to have the console enabled. Once that's done, when you log into the game, bring up the console and type:
dota_spectator_auto_spectate_games [tournament ID]

To get the [tournament ID] value, go to here:
http://dota2.cyborgmatt.com/leagues.php

So let's say I was auto spectating the GEST tournament; I'd enter:
dota_spectator_auto_spectate_games 59

When I was done, or if I wanted to leave, I'd enter:
dota_spectator_auto_spectate_games 0

After that it auto-joins the matches as soon as they pop up, and as soon as you close a match it auto starts with the next match. This way you can still spectate the games without having to sit there and click each of the matches.

For example a week ago or so they had a tournament for $1.99, so I bought a ticket, watched a few matches, then ended up going to sleep. I left my DOTA2 client on so that I could get any tournament drops from spectating various things like multi-kill, first kill, courier death, etc..

I can't wait for techies; I can just picture all of the "OMG REPORTED!" type comments that will go up in chat whenever someone suicides.

Hopefully this will get the noob players to start warding the map, because at the lower tier bracket almost nobody ever uses a god damned ward to save their life. I've had several games where even as the carry I've had to ward because the rest of the team was too herp derp to do it and letting heroes like Riki get away with ridiculous amounts of kills.

It won't get them do. They don't in HoN. Going mines first skill, mana pots and a TP then mining the side shop is easy money.

Engineer (Techies clone) is picked up a lot in competitive HoN, but mines are never leveled until last. His stun is pretty good and his ultimate is amazing for team fights.

Yeah, I forgot Techies only did mines and suicide. I thought he had other skills as well.

So this whole time I've been deleting treasure boxes (don't want to buy keys to open them) and giving away items I don't want - then I found out I could've sold them on the Steam Marketplace even for .10 or more... listed some items including my immortal item Leviathan Blade and it sold instantly...D: :thumbsup:

Sell the new chests that you get after patches immediately.
They pick up fast during those first few hours.
Still can't believe the highest Treasure of Champions was $4+ in the first hour. I didn't think anybody was going to buy them at ~$2, man was I wrong...
