Spirit breaker actually being played as a main carry spot instead of support!
Bringing the pain for liquid vs alliance. 10-5 now, spirit breaker leading the kills with 4-1-4.
Especially impressive considering how alliance totally trashed liquid in game one. Not sure if liquid will pull out a win, alliance has been pulling some amazing wins, but it sure looks like spirit breaker is working in this match.
edit: nevermind! minutes after my post, alliance turned things around bigtime. 23-13 alliance favor now and mid rax broken. Spirit Breaker kept charging alch, the tankiest player on alliance team, and failing to kill him every time. Should have been charging and killing the softer supports first imo.
It was good to see SB for sure. I was torn because Teamliquid holds a special place for me as they're the biggest Starcraft community in the west and they decidedly picked Dota 2 as their official game for coverage over LoL. But then I also didn't want to see Alliance breaking their 10-0 streak.
SB was great to see but TL's loss was written on the wall from early- Alche having stupid farm at 10 mins (Shadow Blade + Midas + Boots WTF) vs SB getting Urn & Treads. So Alche's safe farm wins.
The supports of either team are a wash.
Then, we're left with mid. SF should at least snowball early, as SF could never carry hard as Alche. But SF didn't do anything special while Alliance's mid Timber also got a scary sizable farm. We know Timber is strong with little to no farm. But give him mid? Not good at all for TL.
I was cringing the whole time while rooting for SB. They had a moment of shine when they did a nice teamfight at T2 mid, but Alche was too much. He outright had double GPM and double networth by 20 mins.
I hope to see SB again. That being said, I'm very happy to see Timbersaw picked too many times already. It's almost as if everyone agreed to hide that pick until TI3, then everyone reveals it.
