5 Solo Players will not be matched against a 5-Man Party anymore in Ranked Matchmaking and very unlikely even in Unranked.

You can now keep track of your Ranked Matchmaking progress per game from your Match History. It will now show you the points you've earned and lost per game.

One of my friends and I opened one each of those last night. I got the Razor helmet with a first blood gem and he got Artramentos with a towers destroyed gem.

Wish they'd add a permanent Tower Defense mode to the game instead of this Hero Defense crap. The relaxing gameplay of Tower Defense fitted so perfectly with the stressful gameplay of Dota 2.

I went home, just had enough shards for 1 chest, opened it and got Artramentos with 4 Second Stuns

Some connectivity changes have now been made to Dota 2. If you lose connection during a game, you can just relaunch the client and reconnect back even if the server reads no connection.

Also, all EXISTING LOW PRIORITY penalties have been wiped in concert with this change.

I don't think they will add a permanent fun mode to game but from what i have read online on different sources I'm sure they are gonna add other popular mods of warcraft such as pudge wars, mirana wars, tag tree etc. I hope they add battleship to dota 2. it will be fun 5 vs 5

Finally had some time to play some Dota again. Did my 10 calibration games solo and ended up around 3400.. about what I expected.. but once playing in rank mode.. holy shit the games have been complete garbage. It's just like dota 1.. someone gives up FB and leaves. Someone gets annoyed and leaves. I have at least 1 if not 2 leavers in every single ranked game. It's awful. And then you're supposed to play it out even if there's a leaver? Which more often than not leads to more feeding and more rank drop? It's bad.

This is why you have to get a combo of pubstompers and get the FB immediately. That way, the other team leaves and you win!

Really? Probably played about 20-30 RMM games so far, had only 1 leaver. Some ranked games are bad in other ways (e.g. low numbers = high rating variability and low numbers = hour-long matching times) but not many leavers.

I'm in your range, Vrolok, and haven't had that experience. Game with leavers so far is maybe 2 or 3.

Dunno. Maybe it's the server? My MMR is lower than yours, so by Dota logic my games should be worse. But I've said for a long time I've found AUS to be much better in terms of people than USW and USE.

I'm use/usw currently, maybe I should try Aus. Maybe it's time of day? I usually have time earlier in the morning.. Like 7-10 AM EST. At that time it seems like well over half of the players in my games are South Americans who don't communicate at all with the team, other than attempts in Spanish.

Who knows, maybe it's just a small sample and I just hit a rough spot?

Yeah, I find it's worst in the morning server-time as well. Evenings are usually really good, but the mornings aren't. Though, in the mornings I have a lot of trouble finding matches anyway.

I've been away from Dota 2 for about 6 months and started playing again in the last week...hopefully get things back to where they were and start playing MMR. I'm sure I'll just be middle of the pack but shoot me a PM or find me on steam (same handle) if you want to have someone to play with.

Well, my troubles with RMM continue. Played another 3 games today. 1/3 had a leaver in 13 mins. Last game I played a bat mid, went 6-0, had blink/travels/force by 15m or so.. our bot lane went 5-18 in 25 mins. My teams have been way, way, way worse in RMM than ever before. I think I've played maybe 16-17 solo RMM games and won maybe 3?

Just played another. My team: 1-1 LC, 4-4 (started 3-0, oh well) me as Crix, 0-4 Lion, 0-4 Kunnka, 0-4 Invoker. 14 mins in. Sigh.

Started at around 3400, now down to nearly 3000. I think I've gone like 5-15 in solo RMM games. And it seems like point change per game is "random number between 24-27 up or down depending on win or loss." Last game I lost I was solo offlane weaver, went 16-2, and lost 26 pts with the loss. I'm honestly ready to quit dota for awhile over it. It's the most frustrating experience I've ever had in dota and I've played since 2005; no matter what, I've had absolute garbage teams in solo RMM. Like I said earlier, I've had games where no one spoke English, many games with leavers on my team, a game where we had a Veno/VS and both "weren't support heroes," or the usual first, second, third pick carry and then 4th and 5th also pick carry for a 5 carry team.
