Meepo is a hard hero in general and if a carry has a slow start, it can snowball in the later game. That's why carry heroes get priority over last hits and is babysat in the beginning of the game.

Meepo has a unique trait that can also bring down the rest of his team as well:

When he levels his ultimate, his clones are considered their own heroes.

So, when there are two heroes in a lane, they split the XP evenly. If there are two Meepos and another hero, they each get 1/3, etc.

So if you don't jungle with your extra Meepos, your allies will be severely underleveled.

having super easy games from last 3 days. opponents level so low
only 800-1000 wins sad.
no fun. m bored ;(

The MM seems really wonky the past few days. I played a game yesterday where everyone on my team had at least 100 wins and about 200-400 games played while the other team had 150 games played and 30-70 wins.
Needless to say it was quite a stomp. I actually felt bad for the other team after it was over.

I read the OP that says free invites. So...I can play this game for free? How do I do that?

Right now you need someone to send you an invite for the beta. I think I have 2 left, if you PM me your steam name or email address I'll be happy to send you one later.
Once the game goes "live" it will be free to play and be supported through sale of cosmetic items for the UI and heroes.

Competitive Hero Tier List of June, 2013.

This is the latest goodie of what's trending & considered strong in today's pro games. Look at that diverse range of heroes. Dota 2 is more amazing than ever. Even 3 years ago, it was just Morphling & 15~ heroes all day.

It's amazing we're seeing Kunkka & OD in pro games... even Juggernaut & SLARK!

Jugg was considered total trash, but pros discovered how OP his healing ward is and able to semi-carry along with real carry. Slark has been buffed few times, but also indirectly buffed many times with the rise of cheap items (Drums, Aquila) which turn him into a scary mid game ganker.

It's a combination of balancing and old heroes finally being discovered to be put to good use. Dota 2 is taking off big time in Korea too. Exciting times ahead.

Yea they've been remade over and over. People don't pay much attention to them now because they're both neither in Dota 2 nor Captain's Mode in Dota 1.

They're going through a big testing stage of sort.

Phoenix used to be fun, his Sun Ray and ultimate... now all 4 skills are totally remade.

Go read up on them on Dota 2 wiki (google).

Spent this weekend working on the pulling techniques posted on the previous page of this thread, and it's more difficult than I had thought, but working at it slowly. I think the main issue I had was rushing up and hitting the creep as a melee and then trying to run back, the creeps end up hitting me a few times, plus as radiant I had trouble pulling the creeps into the line of creeps (this was as radiant, playing in the upper left corner).

I've started finally playing versus games, mostly using the "compendium match" setting, so I'm now officially up to 7 wins against actual opponents. I found the team games to be populated by people that are much more serious than the vs. bot games, for example I was playing Shadow Demon and the one guy rushes in and dies, then flames me about it "SHADOW DEMON U SUCK! REPORT SHADOW DEMON!", then the other teammates called him a jackass for rushing in there.

By the end of the game though I had 20 assists, and our team won. I was somewhat surprised that people would get so incredibly angry at a player with 4 wins and 1 loss (at the time - now I'm up to 7 wins) and kept insisting that I get reported. I didn't think you could report players just because they are new to the game?

People take mobas very seriously. Pulling can be difficult to master at first, but once you get the ranged and melee timing down, it is fairly easy and can be done with little thought.

I think I am going to play a few games when I get off work today if anyone wants to. I have no idea what bracket I am in, but I'd like to think I am pretty good. I would prefer not to solo queue, but will.

Good stuff. Have ZERO tolerance for muting people. The moment someone flames me, I immediately mute. You're not the only one getting flamed. I come across pure ball of rage griefers too. The best part is when your teammate rages against another teammate. And you just mediate by saying on mic, "Come on guys, fight THEM, not your teammate. Let's win." It works 60-70% of the time uniting the team.

If the creep is ranged and you're melee, pull slightly earlier at :52. The melee camps can be pulled as late as :55~

:53 worked always works for me.

its mostly like this if 1 camp hen :53(although u can successfully do it till 55 i think)
if 2 stack then :52
3 stacks then :51,
with practice u will notice that there is 1 sec difference b/t melee and ranged,

also keep in mind that creeps block each other,

just watch on youtube and practice with bots

I thought he was talking about pulling, which is done around 15/45 mark on top lane jungle and 17/47 mark on bottom lane. At least, in my experience, that is when they should leave the camps.

wat is 15/45?? and 17/47???

we talking about seconds 1st ncs spwan at 30 sec, u can pull them at 53 sec and stack so that when 2nd creep wave comes u can pull them and deni them with 2X stacked creeps

Pulling is not the same as stacking. Pulling is aggroing the medium camp and pulling them into the lane to attract your creep wave. Thus, removing an entire wave from the lane, denying that experience and pushing the enemy to the tower. This allows you to reestablish lane control and deny experience. In a 2-1-2 set up, this is good, because the support / baby sitter, can get a little solo experience and gold from the neutrals that die. You must, however, have a stacked camp, otherwise, it won't be enough to kill the entire wave, and when they return to the lane, they push it and the point of pulling for lane control is lost.

This has to be timed perfectly, otherwise you won't get all or even any of the creeps.

Pulling is okay but, in my experience it's not done often enough in higher tiered games to be bothered by it. For the most part if you are stacking/pulling in higher MM games, the opposing team on the lane will counter by other means. You'll see alot of pulling and stacking in the low tiered games.

Nothing wrong with it but, people can be really bitchy about it if you don't abide to their stack rules.

I don't want competitive Dota 2, but I would expect those medium camps to be blocked before the creeps even spawn, thus eliminating the ability to pull. And if you have a hero with minions that last for awhile (like Lone Druid), you can easily aggro the enemy creeps and kite them long enough to get your wave to their tower, thus giving you lane control. There is a lot of meta, but generally, an effective pull can be a good tool to help get it closer to your tower.

Yup, that's another great scenario that i've seen pulled off on 2 v 1 lane situations especially against a solo melee. Easy peezy.

So annoyed with this muting system, just got my first ever mute (24 hr) from a game in which someone failed to load and I said nothing (except 'hi') as we got kicked back to the front page.

It was my first game of the day (having not played for two days) and I was muted by the next game...

I believe you need two reports in a certain period of time to be muted, but my first mute was a game in which someone reported me because I said ggwp at the end of the game (when he felt it was a bad game).

No wonder people smurf...

Ahh ok cool - good info! I was wondering why it seemed to time perfectly when I was ranged but as melee it seemed out of sync.
