I have a hard time playing Visage for some reason. He's a top pick / ban but whenever I pick him I just can't seem to use his ult effectively.

He's really not that hard to play- just dedicate a control group for the minions, hide them ahead/PAST their escape path in tree. Slow + rain down + nuke = gg.

Also the ultimate is only the half of what makes him ridiculous. The 4 sec CD 360 damage nuke is just sickening. You can easily pull off kills just by nuking whenever your meter is up at level 5-7. Forget the ultimate, the nuke alone is devastating. No other hero can consistently dish out 720 to 1080 damage in 8 to 12 seconds at level 7. Just SICK.

Give him a go.

don;t know i used to play good visage in dota 1, but in dota 2 i such with it, also m bad with controlling minions.

Forget about the stun now. It's the sheer DPS of the minions that's strong. It says 70 dmg 'only' but Base Attack Time is REALLY FAST, basically they all have Mask of Madness.

Slow + Right click with your hero + right click with minions + Nuke = gg.

If you want to be nasty, throw in Medallion for -6 armor. The enemy just MELTS.

So when you gank, you don't stun. You deplete minion's attack power, THEN stun in teamfights.

Oh remember, if you hold Ctrl when issuing any command, it issues command to ALL your controlled units & yourself instantly. VERY helpful and I use this all the time with illusions, Chen, Necrobook, etc.\

So it's like... Slow + Ctrl & Right click on enemy + Nuke = gg 4 clicks. That easy.

Cool - I didn't know about holding down control, that will be useful when playing Chen / Enchantress / PL, etc..

For someone like Chen, you really need hot keys to select each controlled unit, because using the creeps abilities are paramount in Chen being any good.

I am still surprised Chen isn't considered a first pick / ban in Dota 2. In HoN, Ophelia (Chen clone) is literally first ban or picked every single game. I guess it also is because Tempest (Enigma clone) is picked every single game as well and a certain creep has a stun that goes through BKB. That is massive to have against the Tempest ultimate.

I actually dislike microing that many units. Hero + a single unit is enough for me. Anything past Lone Druid, I just dislike. Enigma and heroes like that are okay, because they aren't real units and don't have skills.

That's because HoN and Dota 2 are essentially different games now with their own meta. Different items, different exp & gold gain, different heroes, they all impact the entire landscape of the meta.

Chen is still formidable in Dota 2.

True - I still see Chen being used in a lot of pro matches.

Ophelia has pretty much been in the HoN meta for as long as I can remember. Ophelia is such a good hero with only one real counter (Parasite - don't think there is a Dota equiv, at least that I know of and I can't look it up at work right now) and even then, not the best counter to begin with.

I am just surprised Chen isn't the go to jungler in Dota 2.

this new update has totally ducked MM

if m not in party n getting such shitty teams,out of 3 games i played solo 2 ahd players with single digit matches

losing matches in 20 mins and finals scores are like 28-1, 35-5 etc

but when m in party i won all 5 games and other team was really sad, and after 5 mins i felt like going afk, we e1 won 1 game 4 vs 5 when one of friend got dc after 11 mins.

can't they find an algo which creates balanced teams so that all 10 players can enjoy contest???

if this continues i think m gonna delete dota 2 or have 2 make smurf

Hey, can someone give me some advice?

I was laning against Zeus as Tinker. Normal starting gold, so I got a Mantle, a branch and a salve + tango, trying to semi-rush a bottle. Zeus got a bottle.

I thought I would be able to get enough last hits to get a bottle within the first couple minutes. I actually did alright in last hits against the Zeus, he wasn't focused on last hits so much as harassing me. He got Lightning Bolt first, and he'd use it on me whenever it was on cooldown, using the bottle for regen. I was maxing laser and rockets so I traded with him for a while, but his nuke was stronger with less mana, and he had more health than me anyway, so I ended up running through my regen really fast, couldnt get enough last hits to get an early bottle, then when Spirit Breaker started ganking mid things really started going downhill.

In the end we lost, I ended up being 1-16-3 and I had to just jungle ancients for 15 minutes because whenever I showed up in a lane Spirit Breaker would dive and basically 2-shot me. Probably my worst game since I was new and had no idea what I was doing.

So what should I do in the future when I'm mid against Zeus to prevent this kind of thing?
