How have they only gotten 5 games in 7 hours?

Games lengths: 62, 26, 32, 35, 98

That's about 4:15 of game time, the rest is drafting and between game analysis.

Isn't that surprising. Draft last around 10 mins, and they take around a 15 min break between games.

Okay so this is my first time actually watching MUFC aside from noticing their 0-14 record.

What the hell are they doing? They outdrafted themselves.

Trilane of 3 supports: Omni, Rubick, & Leshrac. Omni farming.. so he got a forcestaff, LOL.

They send DK mid vs TL's OD. Of course OD outlaned the shit out of this poor DK. 5 lasthits vs 23~.

Then Nature's Profit... no where to go, abandons bottom lane and just jungles, LOL.

Teamliquid lets Ursa farm with CM & Wisp. Ursa gets 12 min Phase + Dagger and goes ape shit. And because the lane is abandoned, CM & Wisp go gank nonstop & gets considerable farm from double camp pulling.

All 3 lanes fail. And MUFC did it to themselves. WTF is wrong with them?

The score is 18-3 now. MUFC go home please. You're going to be 0-15 undefeated in losing.

They picked a pushing team - they got the Top 1st Tier tower pretty quick and should've gotten the 2nd tier... they should've have avoided team fights and just keep pushing towers or have a diversion fight to allow another team member to push as a trade - they didn't do any of that...

When a Wisp has more networth than anyone on your team you know its over...

It wasn't just this match, it was throughout the entire tournament. To be honest, I'm glad that they left early, they've literally just been an embarrassment the entire time. Their spot should have been given to Quantic IMO, or even EG.

That was just a great game. Those amazing hooks with Clockwerk. That is why I love that hero. >_> And going for the Divine Rapier such a man move.

CM, sadly, is rather weak though. But if the team is ignoring and you get a full channeled ulti like in that Rosh fight, she can do a lot of damage.

I know she is weak. Pretty strong early game though. In fact she is a beast early game, just as time goes on she gets weaker, but at least she provides good support through regen and a freeze. I dunno why I like her and Lina so much, just always have, more so Lina.

If they put out some Lina merchandise I'd buy it ASAP lol.

Lina is super good because as a support, she has a ton of damage output without farm (which is great). I wish Lina didn't have such an awful attack animation, because I really like her skills.

Yeah, I have a rather hard time last hitting with her. I should practice it more, but oh well. I'm always happy when I see her get picked, she just doesn't get that much love from the pros lol

I'm so damn tempted to buy her fiery soul, keep putting it and taking out of the checkout cart. Valve could just put it for 10% off and I'd jump on it like a whore lol

Who is casting DK vs IG on twitch right now? These guys are better than the guys I heard yesterday.

Only complaint I have with Ayesee is that he needs to set his mic to push-to-talk. The crowd noises or speaker volume keeps activating his mic when Draskyl is talking.

I feel like Ayesee gets way too enthusiastic about things that are completely obvious common sense, sort of like John Madden.

"If dire keeps killing radiant heroes, it's going to be a tough game for radiant to win!"*

Well, duh.

*Not an actual Ayesee quote, but I feel like he says things to that effect often.

I feel like the 98 minute game broke him. Hell, it broke me. You won't see me watch anymore all-Chinese matchups again this year.

I had to run before the end of that game, but I could see how DK was messing up. They would push, lose the bear, then leave the lane completely.

I think they should have just camped outside the base in a lane and constantly let creeps push it in. They could have forced IG to either come out to fight them, let the creeps slowly destroy the tower / racks, or find them in a favorable position for a blink / hole initiation. Or split push with a LD and a support top, with the other 3 bottom. IG would be forced to either commit 3 at LD or lose a fight there, opening up the bottom rax for DK.

They had a single lane rax'd, but if they had gotten a 2nd, especially with Aegis, IG couldn't fight them.

LOLOLOL.

If you haven't already, I highly suggest you check out Teamliquid vs LGD.cn. Biggest energy of the whole game. TL is the only bona fide American team. It was nail biting and AWESOME to watch!

There was a period of time where they could have forced a teamfight in iG's base, lost, and still taken a rax or two. They played way too passively and iG has a history of winning games they were way behind in.

Bulba for Team Liquid, MVP man. That game against LGD was great.

WOW... Liquid vs LGD - Clockwork and crystal maiden...

Yes this game was a BEAST. Lumi and LD were off the mark with their analysis. Alche is a scary ass mofo and when TL couldn't break base with Aegis, THAT was scary, not good for TL (casters thought TL were fine).

It was a matter of time until Alche right click everyone with BKB & Cleave (Gyro can't 1v1). And both NP and Naga could carry forever in late game + Refresher Magnus.

Time was ticking hard. The kills weren't enough. But they did it. MVP to that motherfvcking Clock. Sixth sense of a god. Rocket with the god-tier sense, find enemy, then hook. BuLba so good.

Direct link to that final fight!

TL going insane celebrating.

Best game so far. The only game I was rooting for a specific team from start.

i was wondering about this.. as an OLD timer ( played competitively when Q2 CTF was big, there where 2 big sanctioned events and we won.. games, NOT MONEY, i still have a my "complete" id set of games signed by id for taking 2nd place).. do american kids just not play competitive stuff (unless its a fps)? or (hate to say this) are we just so lazy we don't even play well? I have yet to play a DOTA2 match online.. I have been learning it (far to long) as its far deeper a game then most.. and even if you just have to plow in sometime, I hate to let others down with my noob play.. been watching this tourney and everybody winning is Asian it appears..

eSports is just not as developed in US. It suffers from the most amount of nerd stigma compared to Asian and Europe.

The eSports in Asia is a given, but Europe is also AMAZING. Same 'western' people but entirely different mindset of eSports than US. There are so many barcrafts, tourney, and events for games in Europe.

So it boils down to 2 things why US sucks at pro gaming:

1. The sheer lack of players and the resulting pro players from it due to the stigma.

2. This results in the sparse landscape of eSports sponsors and events (see #1), so pros aren't full-time paid whereas in Asia/Europe you can make a career out of it.

Therefore the American pro gamers have to get creative with sponsors, individual streaming ad revenue, youtube revenue, etc... This is really bad compared to Asia/Europe where they get guarantee salary and just play the game as its their job.
