wow xvost (or however you spell his name) one of the biggest plays of the day IMO

damn that was an awesome last game. Deserving of being the game to pick the winner for sure! Na'vi was a bit to aggressive and the deny by s4 (i think) on the 3 tp's won them that game. That was fun and amazing to watch

and now all those in the tournament can take a break from dota 2 fr awhile. Im sure they are burned out from playing 5+ hours of competitive games all week

Wow! That puck not once but TWICE Dream Coiled to cancel their TP to defend!!! The first Dream Coil canceled 3 TPs that would've saved the side racks if they didnt get stopped. The last dream coil canceled two TPs that helped the throne fall...

Dendi didn't even get to spend his 6k gold that would've helped two shotted everyone...

I was rooting for Navi. But I'm so fvcking happy for Alliance. Look at their reaction, the adrenaline, and the celebration.

Good for you Alliance. God damn well done.

I was really happy that Orange made it the furthest of the Asian teams. They actually play the entire game and don't go into a farm-fest.

Them and TongFu don't do the "chinese dota" and are willing to do new stuff, I like them both.

It was a good tournament all around and I think Valve did a great job of trying to include the viewers in it as much as possible and hope to see them continue to with it more in the future (which I'm sure they will).

The one thing I didn't like was the "analyst" guys. Those 4 guys are ugh. The 2 ex pro players (more so the Asian one) were ok, but imo those 4 added little and in a lot of cases I would have not even watched the stream if it wasn't for Kaci doing lots of interview and behind the scenes things in between.

Kaci was fantastic I thought and made things a lot smoother with a lot of awkwardness that would have been much worse with a non professional journalist that couldn't direct and handle them.

I wish that there was more of an awards thing instead of them just running up on stage right after, saying like 3 things and just grabbing the Aegis.

It would of been really really cool if they had some kind of stats breakdown of various thing they could of went over at the end of the tournament as well. Like most used heroes, most banned, most successful/unsuccessful, which heroes didn't get selected at all, how many couriers died, etc etc etc.

A lot of room for improvement but it was really good regardless and look forward to next years.

Crazy ending. Had Navi went for the base trade after the failed tps, they would had won the race. They panicked and made the wrong decision to send a few heroes back only. CK already ulted at their base and even if CK/Wisp returned, there was no way they can defend against the Navi squad. Disappointed to see the game end that way.

Fully agree with you guys.

Great job Valve. Still need some improvements but leaps and bounds better than any previous TIs. Kaci absolutely rocks.

How can anyone dislike her?

She's not much of a looker, but now I want to bang the hell out of her.

Look at this Malaysian peeps cheering for Orange, wow:

Curious but what sort of improvements would you want to see? I thought valve did amazing. Especially the technical staff getting games ready. They change all peripherals, add a ssd with all the users settings and stuff, load up dota 2 all in under ~ 5 minutes. Thats pretty damn impressive for 10 computers. And out of the games i watched there was only 1 true pause and that was dendi in the final.

As mentioned above the panel of four is meh. But you need some sort of filler and they did fill that role. Kaci did a good job at adding in the fans and the other attractions besides the actual game play. Perhaps having another on the field type person instead of just a panel but there is only so much you can do.

Overall i was really impressed and thought it was a well run tournament.

I think they will upgrade every year. You can find video of TI2's "booth." It was terrible. I think 2GD does an okay job, and Merlini knows what he is talking about, but I'm not a fan of Maelk or Bruno. Maelk was a last minute sub, right?

Merlini talks too fast, someone needs to tell him to slow down. It sounds like he trips over his words. Maelk, I dunno, not a fan of him either and he doesn't seem to be professional enough. Bruno seems to be there just for the comedy factor, comedy that is not too funny.

Yeah, I very much dislike the panel. The casters I dislike as well. In fact, I dislike the news reporter they had too. I think everything outside the actual Dota play, I disliked. =(

The panel is pretty much worthless. The casters could have been better, they didn't do awful, but I felt they didn't add anything. Just said what was going on, and that needs improvement. The reporter was a complete waste. Besides the "omg a girl" factor, she had nothing to offer. She had zero knowledge of anything Dota and couldn't ask any meaningful questions.

Has anyone told you that you are a complete Debbie Downer on everything related to Dota?

Curious but what sort of improvements would you want to see?

Just like TI1 & TI2, no closing ceremony and the ending was outright awkward:

1. No real closing ceremony

2. No official award ceremony, hyping up the top 3 teams, have them come out, congratulate them, announce their places, etc.

3. Highlight extra stats that people LOVE for individual pros: best GPM, best kills, best assists, and of course MVPs.

4. No close-out video or extra hype of sort- a great way to promote Dota 2 as the final strike. It could even be an one minute video or even just replay this trailer with the final message saying, "Thank you for watching TI3, Dota 2 is free to play for everyone. Go to Dota2.com" Something of that nature. It's a real great way to tie-in all the super-casual people that just watched the stream.

Of course, this goes without saying that TI3 was absolutely amazing and was a HUGE improvement compared to TI2.

I loved this tournament wholeheartedly; it's probably the best I've seen so far. It's weird feeling this excited over watching other people play videogames. I'm still a little pissed that I never received the bird call whistle for my Smeevil when I clearly had everything picked out and locked in my compendium though. The only other thing that is annoying is that they didn't increase the drop rate for viewing events. I was expecting at least one drop from the entire tournament but that didn't happen, then again 4 drops for 150,000 viewers gives you pretty bad odds at getting something.

Open a ticket on Steam for this. I read that if you completed the predictions or fantasy team early, you had to change one item to get the item for it, which means it was bugged.
