This should summarize it pretty well.

People trolling hard with Earth spirit's push ability; some guy yesterday kept pushing his teammates right into the middle of the enemy over and over and got me killed a few times (for instance rushing the tier3 tower and this idiot pushes me right into the heart of the dire base and gets me killed).
Can you not turn off help in Dota 2? I know this feature exists in HoN. It blocks all friendly things like Force Staff, Tiny throw, any other skills that move you.
Yeah you can turn it off; I usually leave it on as normally during games my allies don't just go throwing random teammates straight into the enemy base. I guess I'll be forced to turn it off tonight as last night there was more than one game where this kept happening.
I generally give them one chance to screw up and then it's off (at least in HoN). I haven't actually encountered anyone doing any trolling yet in Dota 2 of that sort.

I figured out the Battlefury diretide strategy; it's rather ingenious.
The Battlefury reflect-through is pure physical damage and isn't affected by armor. What the teams are doing is loading up on 2-3 battle fury's for the melee heroes and just attacking the opponent heroes. The damage reflects through the enemy hero, who is immune to damage, and strikes for 100% damage of the damage that battle fury gives with no reduction by armor. Since Roshan has so much armor at the later stages, this is critical to keeping up the DPS.
This is why all of the top kills have the basic build for melee:
* battlefury x2 or x3
* Magnus casting his ability to add to cleave damage
* Daedalus x 2 for crit
* fill out the rest with divine rapier
Simple strategy, but works great. For ranged, you just need daedalus and divine rapier. One person typically picks up assault cuirass for group speed, and vlads for lifesteal.
It seems the new meta is as follows:
* Magnus for ability to enhance cleave
* Shadow shaman with agh's for constant wards and turning Rosh into a critter
* treant for constant ults (I watched a replay where treant had refresher orb too, apparently to constantly trigger ult)
* Sven for enormous cleave
* Phantom assassin for huge crits and teleporting to cliffs during second phase
* fill in the rest as needed
It seems like its fun to play in an organized team for diretide, but when pubbing it seems like 4/5 times nobody knows what to do. Last game I was in, someone picked weaver and kept spamming swarm during the last phase, and people keep picking pudge, asking to be fed, not realizing that the pudge feed thing was fixed days ago (it resets his flesh heat to level 1 at start of third phase).
Anybody catch the MLG Columbus 2013 games on Youtube? My God, I am in love with Speed Gaming. They play Dota exactly the way I feel it should be played. I seriously love them... So happy to have a real NA squad to root for after all the disappointment of Liquid :/
Here's my problem with DK's playing style and a lot of Chinese Dota in general:
It's boring.
It's formulaic.
It's predictable.
You spend literally 75% of every 60 min game watching heroes farm in lane and press tiny advantages, like waiting to engage 15 seconds so all Force Staffs are recharged. Honestly, they will run like bitches because they don't have every last advantage squeezed out in a 5v5 man fight. It's pathetic.
Their main carry Burning never takes any risks. It's almost like watching a computer AI play Dota, it's so fucking awful it bores me to tears. Fuck Burning. And that uninspired twat Loda isn't much better, Alliance is one of the most washed up pro teams on the scene now. They didn't even make it to the finals.
You want to see how Dota should be played? Watch EternalEnvy. Watch Arteezy. These guys take risks and they make smart and bold plays. Pro gaming shouldn't be a snoozefest, it should be exciting. If you want to go for a midgame win, then GO FOR IT! Go 100%, don't get a Pugna and then put a Midas on it for late game.
EternalEnvy was beating DK with a Clinkz and Blink Dagger. He was getting backstabs, he was leaving his team 4v5 so he could take out their racks, he was doing all kinds of magician shit. I'm so fucking tired of watching these boring, timid Chinese matches, and I'm really glad they lost the tournament.
Seriously, what is up with the cancer in this game?
Everybody I get in solo queue is an absolute retard.
It's like they've watched so much pro leagues that they think the things they do in there are good. They have like no ability to improve themselves to be better or to think for themselves.
I've been playing this game since the beginning and I can easily tell if someone is bad or good depending on their choice of heroes and play style. Hell, in Dota 1 it was so easy to tell if the player was good or not just by their response to a silly question. But in Dota 2? Everyone thinks they're good and if they've done really good in 1 game with 1 hero, they automatically know they're the best at that hero.
