Started at around 3400, now down to nearly 3000. I think I've gone like 5-15 in solo RMM games. And it seems like point change per game is "random number between 24-27 up or down depending on win or loss." Last game I lost I was solo offlane weaver, went 16-2, and lost 26 pts with the loss. I'm honestly ready to quit dota for awhile over it. It's the most frustrating experience I've ever had in dota and I've played since 2005; no matter what, I've had absolute garbage teams in solo RMM. Like I said earlier, I've had games where no one spoke English, many games with leavers on my team, a game where we had a Veno/VS and both "weren't support heroes," or the usual first, second, third pick carry and then 4th and 5th also pick carry for a 5 carry team.

What mode are you playing?

Do you ever support?

Do you rage at teammates after they die a few times?

Play CD/CM for RMM. AP is filled with retards.

No hero should ever die in the first 6 minutes. Ganks are excluded from this.
There is no reason any hero should be dying before anyone hits level 6. You are automatically bad. Mistakes happen but 99% of the time when a mistake like that happens, you suck.

Stick with the basics of OP heroes. You know, basic heroes that don't require much skill and does a lot. (VS/Furion/Viper/Naix/Tide Hunter/QOP/DP/CM/BB)

Don't theorize the game play when playing solo queue. Some just suck and some are just good.

Don't go picking heroes that will be stronger than their heroes later on in the game when you're fully slotted and ready to push. Chances are you'll never reach it and won't even be able to farm for the first 20 minutes. This usually applies to players who are only able to play carries and can't do anything the first 35 minutes.

When the supports start farming for a bit after letting the carry free farm early levels, let them (If no hero kills). Chances are, they know what they are doing to support the if your carry was able to free farm. Don't go b*tching at them for taking the carry's farm, your carry isn't going to miss a few hundred gold. Arcane boots/Mek/Urn/TPs/Wards are much more important than the carry being closer to his 1st item. These items actually make or change the game in the first 15 minutes.

Yeah, I never play AP, haven't played that mode in forever. I just play CD now, CM draft I hear takes forever.

AP. Maybe there's the issue? I'll have to try CD for my future RMM games.

Certainly, I actually prefer the 3/4 role when I play with my teams.

Nope.

Even before MMR came out, I've had a lot of bad experiences with AP when I first started so I avoided it like the plague. I ended up playing All Random or Random Draft, now Captain's Draft.

It is even more frustrating when you que in with 4 to 5 stacking then proceed to lose 8 out of 10 games... I que in with my friends and I get mad at the same two friends for playing it like a regular pub game in RMM games - they always pick the same hero because they don't know how to play any other heroes (and they've been playing since 2006 DOTA)or play their role wrong... we would be winning all the way to mid game and they proceed to throw (not intentionally)... I started at around 3400 in team MMR and went down to 3000 because of them... now I'm slowlyclimbing back up again. I tell them if they want to play MMR I will rage or yell at them in game to stop doing stupid things or don't roshan when none of the opposing heroes are dead - and they still do the same mistakes over and over! A few of their friends with MMRs in the 4000 or 5000 also agree with me and rage at them too...

I think an MMR of 500 is probably near the upper limit of the range in skill between any two individuals for it to still be an enjoyable experience. My friend is about 1500 higher than me, we don't even bother queueing together because we both know I'll drag their team down, end up feeding or throwing, and everyone will have a bad time. I have other people that are 5-600 above and below me, and honestly those would be the absolute limits of who I'd queue with.

I have 4.5k MMR and I think i'm an average player at best.

That is true, but it is also good to play with higher level people to learn. RMM will match (or at least try) calculate the other team's total MMR will be similar to your team's total MMR to make the game with a 50% chance of winning/losing... but obviously once the other team finds the mismatch or lower skill player, they will try to gank that player to oblivion - that is when you learn not to run around solo or get picked off...

I don't think Valve will put considerable resources towards an SDK until all the heroes are released.

There's just so much promotion potential there with all the unreleased parity content.

heard rumors that maybe Dota 2 Custom games coming sooon.

I just want -dmarem. I guess I don't really neeeed the em, but for the love of God, please give me dmar (and people to play it ). I loooooved dmarem.

I have 4.5k MMR and I think i'm an average player at best.

You may be better than you think (or the average may be far worse than you think), but I tend to believe there's a lot of "luck" involved as well.

OH MY GOD! I know exactly what this is. It's WTF mode!

Don't we already have -wtf?

Or is this a proper game mode like -ap?

I think we do, and this looks a lot like a "build a hero" mode. Looks like someone is using the axe model but has sprout, ice path, essence aura, and borrowed time for skills.

you are right, there is a map in warcarft its called LOD.

In this mode u can choose any skill for any hero. you get 3 skills and 1 ultimate

its really good mode

Valve announced that they are extending the winter holiday event, Wraith Night, until January 6th. Not only will the event still be playable through the main client, but the drop rates for Shining and Phantom fragments have been doubled!

Slark ultimate now can't be seen even by normal invis detection abilities, including towers. Not sure when this change happened, because I haven't seen very many slarks.

How the hell are you supposed to counter him now, though? It used to be you buy dust, and if he removes the dust debuff with his ability at least that involved some skill on his part. Now you just can't counter his invis at all, no matter what?

I guess if you didn't get any long stuns on the opposing team, slark is supposed to be a free win.

Back to vent some more...

After finding some time for dota again.. decided to solo queue a RMM CM... Dude grabs captain.. doesn't speak a single word... Picks Bane/Clock/DK/Rhasta.. then last picks himself Riki and says "I mid." Against their OD/Weaver/Disruptor/Tide/Kunkka.

Then the riki doesn't pick up cloud until level 9 at which point he's already 0-4. Didn't gank top/bot once.

... yeah.. RMM... loving it.

.... and now 18 min leaver in my next RMM CM after our Jugg/Veno top went 0-9 against their Rub/Jak in the first 10-11 mins? I think I'm done with RMM solo. My solo rating started 3400 and is now just under 3000 ... so you can imagine how many losses that is compared to wins.

It was updated back in December with the Wraith Night thingy...
