Executive summary of the latest data from multiple sources:

Red team scales well to 4 with a minor voltage bump.
Green team scaling is limited to 2, new driver may be able to support 4.
Both teams deserve to have stock shrouds stripped.
Both teams perform better when kept wet.
Both teams are very hot even at stock specs.
Green team often forgets to bring protection, so you may be in trouble if you stretch them beyond factory settings.

That baby is born deaf

*IF* one card is 58 dB at stock (and baby can sleep), and another is 65 dB and its breaking glass,.... baby is probably def.

also 4% oc that Anandtech did, the 590 fans went up in speed because card was too hot, and then it was makeing 63 dB.

overclocked 6990 at max fan speed is 65 dB.

2 dB is hardly a huge differnce (when both cards are overclocked).

They can on that board. It uses Lucid Hydra though I'd be very doubtful it'd scale that well even at 4 gpus, no to mention 8.
