There's a lot more good gaming music than that.

Seems like 1/2-2/3s are the token choices to give the list legitimacy, then odd random additions, some not great choices (they pick the theme music from Halo 1 and 2? they're not bad, but I think there's better music in both games; one from Metroid Prime?), and of course token indie game choices.

There's good music on there (browsing through I'm not sure I see any I think are bad or anything), but eh, hardly the definitive list of best game music.

Ah, ok, the list is bigger. Lots of good music but yeah there's still plenty of other good game music.

It's sort of hard to separate best vs. most memorable, but why would the Final Fantasy prelude be so low (#183)? Other games have start screen themes way up higher on the list, and the prelude consists of every Final Fantasy game.

Frog's Theme and Robo's Theme are two of the best themes from Chrono Trigger, but only the prior even made the list. For shame!

maybe you missed that this is a MUSIC list.

that video was nothing more than a random selection of vignettes that they matched some of the cuts with some of the phrases. there's almost no choreography at all. final fantasy VI intro is better if you want audio and video. stuff actually happens.

I think a whole lot of people are letting their game nostalgia get away from them. I listened to some of the chrono stuff, and much of it is total ass. I'm sorry, but just using a bunch of violins doesn't make a good score by any means.

The Orchestral music from Simons quest was incredible in it's original format, and rewritten into an organ score with bells in the background sounds even better.

Zelda's original theme music is incredible. It's both the most recognized music in the video game universe, and transfers extremely well to actual orchestral composition.
