The network that gave you Mad Men is planning a zombie apocalypse series for October called The Walking Dead.

I'll definitely try watching this. I'm a big fan of the Fallout franchise, which it might be similar to. (Not a fan since Fallout 3, since I played the Fallout 1 demo I got on a PCGAMER CD). I love Breaking Bad also.

I just read the first hardcover collection (Book 1 - first 12 issues) of The Walking Dead and I enjoyed it quite a bit, now I'm really looking forward to this series. I hope they don't screw it up.

I found this Ain't It Cool News interview with Robert Kirkman (author of the comics) that gives me hope that this could be pretty good, it seems he's very involved in the show.

I can't wait for the show, being a long time fan of the old Romero Dead films - and a fan of the Comic book series. I like the idea that the show isn't going to slavishly follow the comic book; it could make for some interesting episodes.

I, cannot, wait, for this bloody series. All the talk, the cast and crew, and the story itself... so stoked. And extremely excited for a serious zombie adventure, and the weight of the character drama (at least, according to the cast and crew). I need my "crazy world but amazing character-centric story" fix, since Lost is now finished.
