I think your bunched up panties are cutting off the circulation to your head.

My panties may be bunched up, but you seem to be supporting this ridiculous notion?

The woman who lived with this group throughout the zombie apocalypse, who had absolutely no beef with them, who probably in fact loved all of them like a family, who wants to see them when she finds out they're alive, just decides to drive a busload of zombies into their compound? Please explain why.

No. I also think that the notion is silly. I just didn't raise my blood pressure thinking/caring about it.

In all seriousness... it is completely idiotic for anyone in this thread to suggest it was Andrea, even if you could somehow ignore that the governor and his crew were long gone while she was meandering around the town looking for them.

<--- brought the andrea driving the zombies thought.

you can't put it past the writers though, after them digging graves for people whos bodies haven't been recovered yet, then filling the graves back with the dirt with no body in them, having a service for the dead people, then finding one of the people alive a few days later.

Character development? Explain to me the character development of T-Dog.

or glenn.

or maggie.

or herschel.

or herschel's other daughter.

or lorrie, before dying.

Maybe korl? I remember seeing a picture of him telling rick he was 'homosex' and then rick crying. So that's sort of development.

Rick lost his wife a week or so earlier, and in that same time a new baby daughter was born, his son shot his own mother, he shot the walker that had eaten his wife, he got a phone call from his wife and Shane, he attacked Woodbury, and then had to go back to Woodbury to save Daryll....

It's been a couple of months for us, but in the context of the show all of this happened a week ago or so....

I think Rick deserves to have a meltdown.

Don't forget that Rick questions the father of Lori's baby, before and after birth. When Beth handed Lil Asskicker to him and Lil Asskicker cries, you can see more doubt crept in.

Yeah, almost none of the characters that are still alive have much development. Rick went crazy and Daryl turned into a good guy. That's about it. I guess Carl developed into someone who doesn't leave the damn house constantly and The Governor hates everyone cause his daughter died.

I just get tired of the drama that doesn't really seem to go anywhere. Why is Andrea so stupid? Why the animosity with Michone and why has she probably had 10 lines the entire season? Why the drama between Maggie and Glen? Do most people even know Maggie's sister's name? The resolution of Merle's evil ways was almost laughable. Daryl's shirt randomly gets ripped and they bond over both being beaten for 5 seconds. It mostly feels like they can't figure out the basic fiction storytelling idiom that we all learned in school as kids: show me, don't tell me. We get a lot of weird and/or unbelievable character behavior without any real explanation. Instead of showing character motivation over time and building up to a change, stuff just happens.

In general, I just think the writing has gone way downhill since the first season. Probably has something to do with the writers and show runners being replaced.

This is why I say they just need more action. If you aren't going to use smart storytelling, I just want something with mindless violence and badassery.

That one made me stop and think.. and I still got nothing. I always thought she was around to make us cry later when they bumped her off. Now they're filling the void of who's going to take care of the baby.

I've noticed there's a distinct change when the first seasons show runners left and Kirkman (the creator and the writer of the comics for the people who don't know who he is) took a lot more control. Suddenly we went from a story about people attempting to survive this world into a dark soap opera that's bringing in more and more elements from the comics. Maybe this is coming from AMC who just wants another Mad Men, but it really feels like this group of writers thinks they're a lot more clever than they are.

I think the way that the governor cocks his head to the side when getting shot at looks fucking retarded and not cool or badass at all. It's not the damn matrix.

what is the purpose of this show besides trying to survive and zombies?

if nothing more, this could be the last season.

Here's how I see the Glenn and Maggie issues...

Maggie is mad at Glenn because he hasn't exactly been supportive since her incident with the Governor.

Glenn is a little more complicated. (And it's a bit easier if you remember that he's admitted to never being in a serious relationship before.) He just doesn't know how to act. He's full of rage at the Governor, and he understands this emotion. But he doesn't understand how to react to what happened to her. Partially, he blames himself that he couldn't protect her.

Yes, their reactions are irrational. But people don't always act rationally in times of distress. (I think the show would be ridiculous if everyone reacted "perfectly" to every event.)
In real life, you see couples having trouble getting along in circumstances that can't compare to what Glenn and Maggie have to deal with.

Here's how I see the gun issues...

Doesn't anyone on set raise their hand and say, "Umm... How come the survivors rarely ever have ammunition issues or never need to reload? And how come they never miss zombies (even when shooting from a moving pickup on uneven ground) yet can't hit a stationary human?"
I thought I was watching an episode of the A-Team from the 80's. (For those who don't recall... Every episode, hundreds of rounds of ammunition were spent, but NOBODY ever got hit.)

I'd forgotten about him until just now, but at least he was one of the few in the group with common sense

I'm very disappointed with hershel, he should be the voice of reason but keeps his old man wisdom to himself or makes very feeble suggestions. He should have smacked Glenn upside the head for trying to take off but just let him be a dumbass.

So what exactly did Glenn do while he was gone? Did he kill some folks or just screw around for a couple hours? I was kinda hoping he would start that town on fire or flank the governor on his way back.

I'm sure if the walkers were shooting back with machine guns they would have issues shooting back.

I hated that Shane died from the very moment he did; he was the only one on the show that actually acted like he had a pair of functioning testicles. Granted he went over the top, but it's better than the push-over try-hard that Rick was, plus Shane balanced out all the whining. I know Shane dies in the comics, but still, I can't imagine every character is such a whiny fucking twat in the comics, so there's probably not as much of a need for someone like Shane later in the comic books

Have any of you seen the trailer for "Snitch" the Rock's new movie? Shane is in it.

I HATED Dale but in some ways you're right - show definitely started going downhill afterward.

They shouldn't have killed him because he was one of the few characters that they really developed. That seems to be their problem - they kill the characters that get development, and never generate new ones to fill their place. I guess Hershel filled Dale's place, but look at seasons 1 and 2 - the main characters were Shane, Rick, Dale, and Lori, in terms of time spent on screen. 3 of those people are dead.
