They have fought countless walkers and are experienced enough to kill them now without getting bit. They have shown this as a constant progression throughout the series, and you'd have to write off the many other scenes from this season where they casually kill zombies in close quarters without all that much of a concern.either the zombies are getting weaker or lazier, or the writers are.
well see now I'm glad I stopped watching 3 episodes ago...sounds awful. Why are you guys/ladies that dislike it still subjecting yourselves to this show? It's obviously not going to go back to what it was Season 1. There's NO potential for it; the budget has been slashed too much, the show runners have been run-off, the writers are lazy. It is what it is, if you don't like it, stop watching like I did.

I think the core of the show itself is still very good, but the issue is their budget. They have to have a lot of these filler episodes so that they can pay for the big scenes. Andrea running through the forest was just filler. I watched season 2 over a two week period and I thought it was a good season, but only because the filler doesn't matter when you can watch it in one big stretch (and boy there was a lot of filler). The pressure right now is that many of my friends are watching it every week and that's why I watch it every week. If my friends weren't watching, I'd just wait until it comes out on blu-ray this summer.I'd stop watching but the rest of my house wants to see how it turns out, so I keep watching it with them. More importantly, if I stopped watching then I wouldn't be able to keep commenting here, and I'd miss everyone.

The zombies in this show are pathetic and non-threatening. There was a scene a few episodes ago where they just drove past a bunch of them outside the prison with a motorcycle and a car and none even reacted.

I actually wouldn't have an issue if they were getting weaker now as it has been something like two years since everything went down. They've said that each season, they age them a little bit more. They are supposed to be rotting, right? I'm not surprised if they don't move as fast. If walkers are in a closed room, it does make sense for them to be almost "asleep" because they've been locked in a room devoid of stimulation for a long time now.Yup, i mentioned that many episodes ago. They would run, throw shit, climb, apparently move doorknobs, all sorts of scary stuff. Now...nothing.

The problem is that the abilities do vary in each episode. However, I think it's just one of those things that you have to let go.
The thing that bugs me, is how quiet they are and that they are capable of sneaking up on people. Andrea had no idea she had walkers around her in the woods???
