Yes, indeed this season finale was lame.
I can only add to the chorus on some of the stupid crap...
Glen and Maggie hitting nobody... there was not even a good justification for this. You can't argue that they wanted to keep those characters around, because they were all shot a few minutes later by the governor anyway. You could still portray the governor as going nuts and being evil by having him kill several of those people, but have some die to Glen and Maggie too. Just made no sense.
Not enough people died from the prison group, for a season finale...
They should have been driven out of the prison, and put back on the road, like in the comic.
Maybe a good finale would have been the governor's group and the prison group in the middle of fighting at the prison, and then all their gunfire draws an enormous herd of zombies the likes of which they haven't seen since Atlanta, or larger than anything they've ever seen... descends on the prison and they're all forced to flee, several from both groups die, Governor and Rick have to fight zombies side by side, but then go at eachother and Rick wins... I don't know. Maybe that would've been lame too, deus ex zombie. Better than this though.
As for Andrea and the pliers... yea... that was embarrassing. I think she should have kicked them over to Milton while he was still alive, and demanded he use them to pull every one of his teeth out, making him a less dangerous zombie. I'm kidding, but that would've at least been funny.
Milton really couldn't muster enough life-juice to get up and help her out of the chair before he bled out for however long?
Leaving them still in the prison at the end and leaving the governor alive, were the two biggest offenses. It also seems they didn't have the balls to kill anyone off. Carol, Hershel, Maggie's sister, the baby, all should have died.
The show should've gone straight back to a more lean, zombie-packed, action-packed "on the road" type of experience again like Season 1.
