So, upon being raised from the dead, you rapidly develop venomous glands and now are a killing machine with super strength and maybe a soft skull (depending on how average thickness your skull is).

I'd have at least tried to cover myself in their blood to see if it helps avoid detection. The zombies have to be using some kind of sense to find humans. It could easily be smell.

Thought they proved that first season when they covered themselves in zombie guts to escape the city.

Then why don't they continue to do that? It would be pretty safe to clear the fence if you're covered in zombie blood?

Nope, gotta have artificial drama and situations that make zero sense!

Sigh... No. Think of it as "super" rabies. You don't have rabies before you get bit. Then you get bit.. die.. uttt ohhh now you got the super rabies and died, and your undead self will try to spread it to others.

And they don't get super strength. They just are not limited by pain. Humans have incredibily strong muscles actually. Think when granny gets an energy rush and lifts the car off the little kiddie for a brief few seconds.

cool. would you still be on my nuts if i did though?
It would be like me thinking that Killer Instinct was terrible, and yet continue to play it week after week, only to bitch about the stupidest shit I could find, in the KI thread.

It would get old after a while to those who enjoy the game, and actually want to discuss it... Don't you think?

Not often I get to quote myself

If nothing else, the writers have shown that logic and continuity are thrown out whenever it suits them.

yes, because a tv series that gets millions upon millions of viewers a week that takes up 40 minutes of your time, that has been on the air for 4 years that started out great and lost a budget and writers, that has gone downhill big time but is still entertaining, is the same as a fighting video game with 6 character that isn't even out yet.

great analogy.

c for effort.

So, cover yourself in zombie blood and guts, and shuffle around slowly like a zombie out the front gate. Then wtf do you do?!?! Spend six hours shuffling to get to the nearest town?

They haven't had a problem getting out of the prison to go places.

The analogy wasn't about the form of entertainment, it was about complaining in a message board thread week after week. Sorry you missed that.

I don't believe they need to shuffle around, if I recall correctly michonne was wearing a cloak that had zombie crap on it, and was walking around at full speed without much notice. It doesn't make sense to abandon the concept as it worked for her. It would have made them searching for meds a lot easier and prob quicker. That of course would ruin the tension of the show and why we never see it anymore. Too logical.

Edit: I should point out I'm not saying they should walk everywhere, but you'd think once they got to where they needed to search they'd bust out the cloak.

Here's an idea - how about the both of you shut the fuck up about trying to one-up each other and take it to PMs? None of us care which one of you has the bigger e-dick.

Hmm... I don't remember the cloak being intentionally covered with zombie crap. Was that when she had her two pets to camouflage her?

Yes, that's when she had the cloak and the neutered zombies. I'm 90% sure it was covered in zombie juice as it seemed a two part system.

Nobody is talking about shuffling for hours. The zombie build up isn't dealt with at all besides a few poked with a stick. If they went outside, covered in blood, they could safely mow down quite a and the "problem" would be solved.

Also, your KI analogy falls pretty flat. You obviously haven't visited any of the Blizzard forums. People hate their games, yet have thousands of hours and thousands of posts dedicated to them.

This.

I was kind of worried when I realized it was going to be a full Governor show, but I actually ended up liking it. It's too bad they are meeting up with that other crew again so quickly though, I would have liked to see them surviving on the road a bit more; we don't really get that from the show all that much anymore.

Agreed.

Last week when I saw the Gov at the end of the episode I thought "Oh well, next episode is going to suck". I was so disappointed.

But then I ended up liking the episode overall and also would have preferred to see more of their adventures on the road before meeting up with Gov's ex-cronies. I enjoy the on-the-road stories so much more than the hole-up-in-one-location stories.

A bite causes a different sort of infection that kills... Morgan described it when he told the story of watching his wife die and subsequently turn. And we saw it when Jim got bit in Season 1.

The way I understand it is that the virus is in every live person but it is dormant and does not spring into action until the host dies. But if you get bit by a zombie who already has the virus activated then that virus ends up killing you quickly

Yeah, i definitely liked it better when they were just surviving in the wild (season 1) as opposed to the other stuff.

I would disagree that being covered in zombie guts would keep one camouflaged for long... But it's hard to argue with your overall statement that they are dealing with the buildup on the fence pretty poorly. Specifically, their apparent lack of proactive measures.

Also, your KI analogy falls pretty flat. You obviously haven't visited any of the Blizzard forums. People hate their games, yet have thousands of hours and thousands of posts dedicated to them.
Oh, the Blizzard forums are a complete and utter cesspool. But it's really along the same lines... Complain complain complain, yet keep spending time on it only to complain some more.
Whatever.

I "love" how if they bite you, you're gone. Yet if you bathe in their blood and guts, you'll be fine!

It's been a dual-front kind of thing all along. There's the infection they all have that doesn't kill but turns them when they die, then there's the infection that comes from being bitten that kills you quickly with extreme fever. They did show a quick fever when Shane turned even though he wasn't bitten, so it's clear that the fever part actually comes from the reanimation infection even though it manifests while alive when bitten. Makes sense, considering that the virus is also somehow providing near infinite metabolism without bodily functions or food.

I think it's kinda like lichens that are formed from fungus and algae: only together is this a pandemic. Heck, one could be a virus and the other a bacteria. I was hoping they would show this bleeding disease to be related to one of the other two infections, but they didn't yet.

That makes no sense, as if you die from natural causes, or gun shots, or anything not directly zombie related, you turn instantly and your bites are then lethal.

These are nothing more than plain ol' magic zombies. The zombies are damn near bullet proof, unless you shoot them in the head! As if some magical spot in the brain is what is causing it. Now, I'd be okay if the virus was something like rabies, enacting only the basic functions of the zombies and crippling most of the nervous system (so they can ignore pain etc), however, removing their heart would kill them. But nope, only headshots!
